haunts my school,Meadow Brook.Whenhe was alive he was called Cecil and he lived inMeadow Brook Cottage, which used to standon the site. \nCecil was sad all the time, and he hated it. \nHe wanted to find a way to make himself happyforever. So he took the sharpest pair of scissorshe could find and cut the corners of his mouthinto a smile. \nCecil collapsed from the blood loss and wokeup in hospital with huge scars along his cheeks. \nInstead of making him happy,it made him sadderthan ever.He was ashamed of his scars, and hestayed inside his house until he died. \nNow he haunts our school, carrying his scissors. If you see him he asks you a simple question: \n“Do you like my smile?” \nIf you say no,he gets angry and stabs you with thescissors. But if you say yes,he says he'll give youone just like it and he shoves his scissors into yourmouth and snips it into a wide, jagged smile. \nThat's how the story goes. You probably don'tbelieve it.Neither did I. \n# CHAPTER 2\n\nTHE SCARS \nWe had to write something about our localarea for our English project.Everyone else in myclass chose stuff like the shopping centre extensionand our local football team, who beat a PremierLeague side in the last FA Cup.I wanted to comeup with something totally different. \nThat's when I remembered the Scissor Man.Everyone knows the story, but no one knowswhere it came from. \nIt's one of those things that's always happened toa friend of a friend. No one ever seems to haveseen the ghost themselves. \nI thought it would be interesting to see if I couldtrack down the person who came up with thestory in the first place. \nStarting my search was easy.I was told thestory by a boy in my class called Oscar,soI asked him where he'd heard it from. He'dheard it from his older brother George, who'dheard it from his friend Alfie, who'd heard itfrom his friend Freddie. \nI realised I could go on like this for weeks withoutgetting closer to the origin.I decided to take ashortcut and post a question in the Facebookgroup for ex-pupils of our school: \nHas anyone on here ever actually seen the Scissor Man?Everyone has a friend of afriend weho's met him,but haveany of you personally laid eyes on him? It's for a schoolproject. \nI knew people would wind me up for writing this, and sure enough I got loads of responses like,I'′mthe Scissor Man.Do you like my smile?","cbCaihXQAah64P3K","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaihXQAah64P3K","pdf",1941169,56,"English","# Chapter 1 - The Story\n# Chapter 2 - The Scars","[{\"question\":\"Who is the Scissor Man and what
