A small quantity of an unactive form of the pathogen is introduced to the body. Lymphocytes produce antibodies to fight the infection but the individual doesn’t actually become ill. When the full form of the pathogen enters the body the immune system recognises it and responds immediately.  \n2. Lock onto antigens, neutralising them and marking them for lymphocytes.  \n3.
