\nHe said timely disbursementwas crucial to ensure families re-ceive support before the start ofthe academic year,adding thatthe government had instructedagencies to ensure smooth im-plementation.  \n“The assistance may appearmodest,but it has a direct andimmediate impact on house-holds,especially those managingmultiple schooling costs.”  \nAnwar said the government re-mained focused on practical,peo-ple-centric measures that deliverquick relief,alongside longer-term reforms to improve access to  \neducation and social support sys-tems.  \nThe RM150 BAP is part of thegovernment's broader Rahmahframework,which aims to ad-dress cost-of-living pressures andsupport families nationwide.  \nAnwar,who is also finance min-ister,announced the aid whentabling the 2026 Budget in Oc-tober.Nearly RM800 million hasbeen allocated for the BAP,whichis set to benefit 5.2 million stu-dents from Year One to Form Fivein government schools,regard-less of parents'income.It was lat-er announced that Form Six stu-dents would also receive the aid.  \nThe announcement was wel-comed by parents and parent-teacher associations,saying the  \naid wouldease financial burdens.  \nSK La Salle Petaling Jaya Par-ent-Teacher Association(PTA)chairman Leben Siddharth Kup-pusamy said the initiative wouldprovide meaningful relief to par-ents with schoolgoing children.  \n\"Although textbooks are pro-vided free by the ministry,par-ents still need to spend on ex-ercise books,revision materialsand stationery.  \n\"For instance,my son is in YearSix.Based on the stationery listissued by the school,the costcould reach RM160 if parentswere to follow it strictly.  \n\"I try to be prudent and onlypurchase what is essential.Itemssuch as stationery are not nec-essarily bought every year.\"  \nHe said he was glad the gov-ernmentcontinued the aid.  \n“There are about 410 studentsin my son's school.This RM150assistance will be a huge help fornearly 400 families.”  \nSJKT PJS1 PTA chairman Yo-geswaran Rajasagran thankedAnwar,saying the aid would beparticularly beneficial to familiesfrom the Bottom 40 per cent andhardcore poorgroups.  \n\"This aid will help reduce par-ents'financial burden,especiallythose who are struggling to makeends meet.”  \nHe said the aid could be used tobuy essential items like books,stationery,uniforms and shoes.  \n\"I request that the Early School-ing
