Data pre-processing is performed to prepare student records for model training and testing. Classifier trade-offs are evaluated to identify the most accurate model for system integration, with the Decision Tree achieving the highest accuracy (0.987). User acceptance is measured using ISO/IEC 25010 quality factors, resulting in an overall weighted mean of 4.57 (“Highly Acceptable”).","Scholarship Management Information System Using Machine Learning Models \nMarthea Andrea O. The paper aims to develop a scholarship management information system using machine learning. This study aims to perform data pre-processing to Pero from trade off classifiers to determine the best model that will be integrated to Scholarship Management Information System module. In order to determine the user acceptance of the system, the researcher used an adopted questionnaire based on ISO/IEC 25010 Software Quality Standards int terms of functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, maintainability, security, and portability. Based on the performance metrics the Decision Tree got the highest result of accuracy with a result of 0.987 and this model will be integrated in the Scholarship Management Information System. The results also indicated that the scholarship management information system achieved an overall weighted mean score of 4.57, which corresponds to a verbal interpretation of \"Highly Acceptable.\" The findings imply that the system satisfactorily addresses the functional and operational requirements of its users, thereby offering a dependable framework for the management of scholarship-related activities. \nKeywords: Machine Learning, Information System, Decision Tre, ISO 25010. \n1. Introduction \nDigital modernization involves the adoption or upgrading of new technologies in order to align with and achieve organizational objectives. This process is crucial in ensuring that businesses remain competitive and ahead of the rapidly changing technological landscape [1]. In many cases, this entails enhancing response time—the duration required to address an issue—uptime, security, and user satisfaction. By placing emphasis on digital modernization, an organization enhances its likelihood of maintaining relevance in the foreseeable future [1]. \nIn the Philippines, education plays a vital role in the social status of every family [2]. However, many external factors such as financial capability affect students in pursuing their desire to finish education [2]. Securing funding for educational expenses can often prove to be a challenging task. In the Philippines, there are numerous scholarships, grants, and educational assistance programs available to support students who are financially incapable of funding their education. These programs aim to provide the necessary financial assistance to ensure that these students have access to the education they need [2]. \n“A successful scholarship program needs to carefully balance the goals of donors with the needs of students, all in the context of a rapidly evolving world of higher- \neducation funding. There are still new challenges that crop up in determining qualified grantees and ensuring that scholarship programs make the biggest impact where it’s needed most, making it crucial to think about these big-picture struggles” [3][4]. \nTo support the education of economically disadvantaged students, specifically in State Universities, the government provides a free higher education program under RA 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act [3]. Furthermore, CHED offers the Tertiary Education Subsidy program and Tulong Dunong Program” to selected scholarship grantees [5]. Various private institutions also provide scholarships. \nThe University’s Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office, which oversees scholarship applications across its campuses and liaises with various sponsors, has grown increasingly overwhelmed by the increasing volume of applicants and the expanding scope of its programs. Despite the growth of scholarship opportunities, students are often unaware of available programs and deadlines, leading to missed opportunities.
