The ATI TEAS test assesses the students’skills in the areas of reading, math, science, English and language usage. Research has shown that there is a direct correlation between ATI TEAS scores and a student’s preparedness for early academic success in a nursing program.  \nScores from the TEAS test will be used in the point calculations on the Selective Ranking Sheet.  \nStudents may take the TEAS test 3 times in 1 year. It is recommended that applicants remediate and wait 2 weeks between attempts. There is a cost for the student for each attempt, and the entire test must be taken each time.  \nTEAS test scores are valid for three (3) years and may be accepted from other schools. TEAS scores must be sent to Spartanburg Community College to be accepted as official scores.  \nPlease review the TEAS transcript section below. Minimum TEAS test requirements are subject to change each academic year.  \nPre-Application TEAS requirements:  \n• ALL applicants must submit TEAS scores with their application. Only scores from TEAS VI/VII or the remote proctoring test, TEAS at ATI will be accepted.  \n• The minimum score needed is 60 overall and 40 in the science component.  \n• TEAS test scores MUST be within three (3) years of application to the program.  \nExample, if you are applying in May of 2022, scores must have been obtained after May of 2019. If scores are older than three (3) years, you must retake the exam.  \n• If you have taken the TEAS test at another institution, scores can be transferred. You must request an official transcript through the ATI online store to be submitted to Spartanburg Community College.
