Moli, Keni, and Rosi are excited to be at theseashore .  \nMoli loves to explore the beach and rock pools.  \nEvery visit to the beach is different.  \nOnce, Moli saw some dead jellyfish on the sand.  \nHer mother said it wasn’t safe to swim that day.  \n“Jellyfish can still sting even when they are dead,” her mother explained.  \nAfter a tropical cyclone last year, the seashore was littered with plastic.  \nMoli wasn’t allowed on the beach.  \nThe sea was too dangerous for swimming.  \n“Look. Today is a perfect day for a swim,” Moli says with a smile.  \n”Come on! Last one in the water is a scaredycat,” Keni sings out.  \nMoli and Rosi race him to the water’s edge. They jump on the first wave they see .  \nAs the tide goes out, the rock pools emerge.“Look, Rosi, it’s time to go exploring,” says Moli.  \n6  \nThere are so many wonderful things to see . They spot clumps of black mussels and scuttling green crabs.  \nThey see blue starfish and hairy brittle stars with long wavy tentacles.  \nThe speckled and rubbery sea cucumbers tunnel into the sand as the girls stamp about the pools.  \nThe girls turn rocks over to see what lies beneath them.  \nSilvery fish scatter in all directions.  \nLeaving Rosi alone, Moli wanders into another rock pool.  \nThe quiet pool is covered with wavy seagrass .
