Founded in 1900, the College Board was created to expand access to higher education. Today, the membership association is made up of over 6,000 of the world’s leading educational institutions and is dedicated to promoting excellence and equity in education. Each year, the College Board helps more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success—including the SAT® and the Advanced Placement Program® . The organization also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators, and schools. For further information, [visit www.collegeboard.org](visit www.collegeboard.org). \nAP Equity and Access Policy \nThe College Board strongly encourages educators to make equitable access a guiding principle for their AP programs by giving all willing and academically prepared students the opportunity to participate in AP. We encourage the elimination of barriers that restrict access to AP for students from ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic groups that have been traditionally underrepresented. Schools should make every effort to ensure their AP classes reflect the diversity of their student population. The College Board also believes that all students should have access to academically challenging course work before they enroll in AP classes, which can prepare them for AP success. It is only through a commitment to equitable preparation and access that true equity and excellence can be achieved. \n© 2016 The College Board. The AP World History Course and Exam Description, which is out now, includes that curriculum framework, along with a new, unique set of exam questions. Because we want teachers to have access to all available questions that support the new exam, we are making those from the fall 2014 curriculum framework available in this supplementary document. \nThe sample exam questions illustrate the relationship between the curriculum framework and the redesigned AP World History Exam, and they serve as examples of the types of questions that appear on the exam. \nEach question is followed by the main learning objectives and key concepts it addresses. For multiple-choice and short-answer questions, the historical thinking skills they address are also provided. A question may partially address other learning objectives, skills, or key concepts, but only the primary ones are listed. \nFor multiple-choice questions, an answer key is provided. A description of what good responses will include appears at the end of each section for the short-answer questions, document-based questions, and long essay questions. \nReturn to \n© 2016 The College Board Table of Contents iv \nSample Questions AP World History Exam \nSection I: Multiple-Choice Questions \nAs demonstrated in the following examples, question sets will be organized around two to five questions that focus on a primary source, secondary source, or historical issue. \nSet 1: This set of tablet inscriptions focuses on commercial exchange and social stratification in Mesopotamia during the second mi","cbCaivV3ZvlYUrGz","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivV3ZvlYUrGz","pdf",2540540,47,"English","# Introduction\n## Purpose and relationship to the curriculum framework\n# Section I: Multiple-Choice Questions\n## Question sets organized by sources and historical issues\n## Example Set 1 with tablet inscriptions\n# Section II: Short-Answer Questions\n## Main learning objectives and key concepts\n## Response guidance\n# Section III: Document-Based Question\n## Description of what good responses include\n# Section IV: Long Essay Question\n## Description of what good responses include","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of this supplementary document?\",\"answer\":\"It provides teachers access to sample questions from the fall 2014 AP World History Curriculum Framework and shows how they relate to the redesigned AP World History Exam.\"},{\"question\":\"How are multiple-choice and short-answer questions described in the document?\",\"answer\":\"Each question lists its main learning objectives and key concepts, and multiple-choice/short-answer items also include the historical thinking skills addressed.\"},{\"question\":\"What additional materials are provided for different question types?\",\"answer\":\"An answer key is included for multiple-choice questions, while descriptions of what good responses should include are provided at the end of sections for short-answer, document-based, and long essay questions.\"}]","Sample Questions AP World History Exam - Introduction | PDF",1790672119,118]
