Combine It 999 \nAge range: 2nd Grade + \nNumber of players: 1-4 Learning: \n- Place value – combining hundreds, tens and ones, and strategic thinking. \n- Adding 10s. \nYou will need \n- 15 counters of each color (one color per player) \n- 3 coins (or small counters) to use as special counters \nInstructions \n- Take the 3 coins and put them in the middle of each of the smaller squares (on the number 500, 50 and the number 5) . \n- Player 1 moves each of the coins one square either up, down, left or right. Player 1 then combines the hundreds, tens and ones of the numbers under the coins to make a 3 digit number up to 999. Player 1 then places a counter on the correct number on the 100 square (unless it is already covered) . \n- Player 2 then moves each of the coins one square (up, down, left or right) and combines the numbers under the coins to make a new 3 digit number. \n- If you can’t make any number on one of the uncovered squares, it is the next player’s turn. \n- Score 10 points for each placed on the board. \n- Score 30 points for each line of 3 counters. The lines can go horizontal or vertical. Each counter can be in several different line of 3. \n- Score 30 points for putting a counter on the number 999. \n- The winner is the player with the highest score when a player uses up all their counters. Example: \n- Player 1 moves the hundreds coin to 200, the tens coin to 40 and the ones coin to 2. Player 1 places a counter on number 242. \n- Player 2 moves the hundreds coin to 300, the tens coin to 10 and the ones coin to 5. Player 2 places a counter on 315. \nVariations \n- Allow diagonal moves of the coins to make the game quicker. \n- Alternative winning strategy: the winner is the first player to get 4 counters in a row. \n| 100 | 200 | 300 |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| 400 | 500 | 600 |\n| 700 | 800 | 900 |\n\n\n| 10 | 20 | 30 |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| 40 | 50 | 60 |\n| 70 | 80 | 90 |\n\n\n| 1 | 2 | 3 |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| 4 | 5 | 6 |\n| 7 | 8 | 9 |\n\n\n| 919 | 922 | 937 | 948 | 955 | 963 | 974 | 987 | 996 | 999 |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| 813 | 829 | 834 | 845 | 853 | 868 | 872 | 881 | 899 | 904 |\n| 717 | 726 | 738 | 749 | 754 | 765 | 771 | 783 | 792 | 808 |\n| 611 | 625 | 633 | 642 | 657 | 669 | 678 | 684 | 695 | 706 |\n| 514 | 521 | 533 | 547 | 559 | 565 | 578 | 582 | 596 | 605 |\n| 418 | 423 | 435 | 444 | 452 | 469 | 471 | 486 | 497 | 502 |\n| 315 | 329 | 332 | 346 | 351 | 367 | 378 | 383 | 394 | 409 |\n| 214 | 227 | 231 | 242 | 256 | 265 | 279 | 283 | 298 | 307 |\n| 111 | 132 | 135 | 146 | 157 | 162 | 174 | 188 | 191 | 203 |","cbCaifN3GR6yEzZ9","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaifN3GR6yEzZ9","pdf",145676,"English","# Game overview\n## Learning goals\n## What you need\n# Instructions\n## Turn actions\n## Scoring rules\n# Example turns\n# Variations","[{\"question\":\"How do players create a number up to 999 in the game?\",\"answer\":\"Players move the three coins (hundreds, tens, ones) one square up/down/left/right, then combine the hundreds, tens, and ones values under the coins to make a 3-digit number up to 999.\"},{\"question\":\"What happens if a player can’t make a number on an uncovered square?\",\"answer\":\"If a player can’t form a number that matches any uncovered square, it becomes the next player’s turn.\"},{\"question\":\"How is scoring calculated?\",\"answer\":\"Players score 10 points for each counter placed on the board, 30 points for each horizontal or vertical line of 3 counters, and 30 points for placing a counter on 999.\"}]","Salamander Combine It 999 - Age range 2nd Grade - Play instructions | PDF",1792669506]
