The current catalog is effective January 1, 2024 (01/01/2024) thru December 31, 2024 (12/31/2024) .  \nThis catalog is available in both paper and electronic format to prospective students and the public when requested.  \nAdditionally, it is also available to be downloaded [from our website--www.safetyunlimited.com](from our website--www.safetyunlimited.com)  \nFaculty Members  \nPresident / CEO: Jules Griggs  \nMr. Griggs is an OSHA and Cal/OSHA Outreach Trainer for both General Industry and Construction, an H2S and DOT Instructor, and is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Outreach Instructor for the State of California, California Specialized Training Institute—Office of Emergency Services. He has 23 years of full-time employment in the fire service, over 30 years of full-time experience in the construction field, and 4 years of military experience.  \nAs an Instructor, Mr. Griggs has taught tens of thousands of students, beginning as a military trainer, then a fire service educator, as well as a general safety instructor for both General Industry and Construction. Mr. Griggs has taught firefighters, police officers, military personnel, government employees, and private industry students on a wide array of topics.  \nMr. Griggs holds a BS in Fire Protection Administration.  \nMedical Director: Dr. Alfred Yu  \nDr. Yu Is an Emergency Physician who attended UC San Diego and then onto Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin U-Med & Science. After attending University, Dr. Yu completed an Emergency Medicine Residency in 2004. Dr. Yu has been a certified Diplomat by the American Board of Emergency Medicine continuously since 2005.  \nCurrently Dr. Yu is the Partner/Medical Director for Allied Emergency Physicians, Inc. and is currently working at Adventist Health Simi Valley, CA.  \nEMS Director: Mark Komins: M.S., NRP, Paramedic  \nOur Program Director has been in the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for more than 30 years. He began as an Emergency Medical Technician on a volunteer Search and Rescue (SAR) Team in Los Angeles, California.  \nMr. Komins became a California Licensed Paramedic in 1996 as well as licensed in Arizona and has since worked as a ground and flight Paramedic with private ambulance companies, as well as with a local fire department.
