Family members urge him to balance studies with play, warning that his astronomy books and telescope will be removed if his grades do not improve. Frustrated, Juno secretly hides his socks and dreams of traveling to outer space. He builds a rocket, struggles with power and propulsion, then searches for a solution using resources from his backyard, ending with an idea: a catapult.","Run Away to the Stars Amima Iziddine \nMina Sliman \nJuno couldn’t wait for the sun to set so he could watch the stars through his telescope. It was his favorite thing to do each day. Sometimes, he was so excited about outer space, he forgot to do his homework.”You can’t neglect your studies,” his father told him. \n”But I don’t care about math,”Juno said. ”What is the point of all those numbers?””You may not understand now,” his mother replied,”but math can really take you places. \n” \n2 \nJunior’s other favorite thing was his socks! He liked to wear different pairs at different times of day. When he wasn’t looking at the stars, he was organizing his sock collection. \n”You shouldn’t spend all your time inside tidying socks,” his grandma said.”You should go outside and play!” \nJunior tried to pay attention to his homework, but he was soon distracted again by his love for the stars. \n”We will have to take away your astronomy books and telescope until you can improve your grades,” his father said. \nJunior hurried to his room and hid his socks before his grandma could take them away too. ”I wish I could run away and live somewhere that I could spend my time however I want.” \nMore than anything, Juno wished he could travel to outer space. If he could build a rocket ship, it would take him away to the stars! \nJuno collected things from around his house to use . He stayed up all night working on his rocket ship. At last, it was complete! \nBut he didn’t know how he would power the rocket. He remembered that a rocket has toblast off at 60 ,00 0k ilometers per second to escape Earth’s gravity. Juno tried using all the batteries in their house to get up to speed, but nothing happened. Then he tried filling the rocket with all the fuel from their family’s storage tank. But it only sputtered. \nHe spent all of the next day staring out the window, trying to think of a solution. At last he had an answer, thanks to the trees in his own backyard. \nA catapult!","cbCais5CzNDabAmj","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCais5CzNDabAmj","pdf",613808,2,18,"English","en",105,"# Juno’s Starry Obsession\n## Homework vs. Telescope Time\n# Building a Rocket\n## Power and Fuel Problems\n# Finding a Backyard Solution\n## The Catapult Idea","[{\"question\":\"Why does Juno get distracted from his homework?\",\"answer\":\"Juno loves watching the stars through his telescope, so he often forgets his homework when he is excited about outer space.\"},{\"question\":\"What consequences does Juno’s father threaten if his grades do not improve?\",\"answer\":\"His father says they will take away his astronomy books and telescope until Juno can improve his grades.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Juno try to solve the rocket’s power problem?\",\"answer\":\"After attempts with batteries and fuel fail, Juno spends the next day thinking and finally finds an answer using the trees in his backyard, leading to the idea of using a catapult.\"}]",1783569757,28,{"code":4,"msg":30,"data":31},"ok",{"site_id":24,"language":23,"slug":32,"title":13,"keywords":33,"description":14,"schema_data":34,"social_meta":85,"head_meta":87,"extra_data":89,"updated_unix":27},"run-away-to-the-stars","",{"@graph":35,"@context":84},[36,52,67],{"@type":37,"itemListElement":38},"BreadcrumbList",[39,43,46,49],{"item":40,"name":41,"@type":42,"position":11},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":44,"name":45,"@type":42,"position":20},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",{"item":47,"name":12,"@type":42,"position":48},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/story-novel/",3,{"item":50,"name":13,"@type":42,"position":51},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/run-away-to-the-stars/48557/",4,{"url":50,"name":13,"@type":53,"author":54,"headline":13,"publisher":56,"fileFormat":59,"inLanguage":23,"description":14,"dateModified":60,"datePublished":61,"encodingFormat":59,"isAccessibleForFree":62,"interactionStatistic":63},"DigitalDocument",{"name":9,"@type":55},"Person",{"url":40,"name":57,"@type":58},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-07-13","2026-07-09",true,{"@type":64,"interactionType":65,"userInteractionCount":20},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":66},"ViewAction",{"@type":68,"mainEntity":69},"FAQPage",[70,76,80],{"name":71,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":73},"Why does Juno get distracted from his homework?","Question",{"text":74,"@type":75},"Juno loves watching the stars through his telescope, so he often forgets his homework when he is excited about outer space.","Answer",{"name":77,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":78},"What consequences does Juno’s father threaten if his grades do not improve?",{"text":79,"@type":75},"His father says they will take away his astronomy books and telescope until Juno can improve his grades.",{"name":81,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":82},"How does Juno try to solve the rocket’s power problem?",{"text":83,"@type":75},"After attempts with batteries and fuel fail, Juno spends the next day thinking and finally finds an answer using the trees in his backyard, leading to the idea of using a catapult.","https://schema.org",{"og:url":50,"og:type":86,"og:title":13,"og:site_name":57,"og:description":14},"article",{"robots":88,"canonical":50},"index,follow",{"doc_id":7,"site_id":24},{"code":4,"msg":5,"data":91},[92,95,99,103,108,113,118,123,128,131,135],{"id":11,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":12,"show_sort_weight":93,"slug":94},90,"story-novel",{"id":20,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":96,"show_sort_weight":97,"slug":98},"Literature",80,"literature",{"id":51,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":100,"show_sort_weight":101,"slug":102},"Exam",70,"exam",{"id":104,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":105,"show_sort_weight":106,"slug":107},5,"Comic",60,"comic",{"id":109,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":110,"show_sort_weight":111,"slug":112},6,"Technology",50,"technology",{"id":114,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":115,"show_sort_weight":116,"slug":117},7,"Healthcare",40,"healthcare",{"id":119,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":120,"show_sort_weight":121,"slug":122},8,"Research & Report",30,"research-report",{"id":124,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":125,"show_sort_weight":126,"slug":127},9,"Religion & Spirituality",20,"religion-spirituality",{"id":126,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":129,"show_sort_weight":126,"slug":130},"World Cup","world-cup",{"id":132,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":133,"show_sort_weight":132,"slug":134},10,"Lifestyle","lifestyle",{"id":136,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":137,"show_sort_weight":104,"slug":138},19,"General","general"]
