AND MORE INSIDE!  \nFORD ESCORT MK 1 & MK2 PARTS SPECIALIST  \nCARBON FIBRE & FIBREGLASS PRODUCTION  \nWE ALSO STOCK THESE BRANDS & MANY MORE…  \nWELCOME  \nAUGUST 2026  \nWow, do we have a bumper event  \nissue for you this month, it seems  \nthat the whole show season has  \nburst into life, of course this means that there are multiple shows on each weekend so you cannot go to them all but need to choose which suits you best.  \nWe have been to 4 shows this month and have areport for each for you to read about, each event was different in the way it worked, all were good but all were significantly different.  \nI hear muttering about having to pay to enter your car in a show and then people also have to pay to come in and look at your car, this used to frustrate me when I was showing as well although I realize that some events have large overheads and these need covering as well as no doubt a bit of profit. Over the 4 shows we have covered we have included ones that are free, still enjoyable and also a charity event which was free but would accept donations and as a family fun event was very enjoyable-these events are all out there if you care to look, some you may not have a chance of a trophy but you could have a very good day out with the family.  \nAs well as the shows we have a story of Warren who loves Fords and the lengths that have been taken to let him enjoy them and bring back memories of when he was a young lad, he loves Retroford Magazine and looking at the pictures, just shows how we are different  \nthings to different people.  \nAt the Car Storage and Retroford event at Tennantswe had a display of RS2000 cars as it is the 50 years of the MKII. We have an article of the History and Technical details of the MKII penned by Mark Piggin for your interest.  \nThe Donington Historic and Legend Show earlier in May has been covered by not one but two of our contributors, both looking at the event from differing angles, interesting.  \nRob Hawkins our Technical writer has brought is an Escort RS Turbo with only 6K miles, Car Cave have this and Rob tells all about it, also Kev’s Autoshave been the pictorial guys to show an example of an oil service on a MK3 Fiesta, again Rob giving the narrative,  \nRob Cheesmur has once again delved into the readers cars and brought us 4 of what is around, you cannot always tell what is behind the garage doors, but  \nsome survive very well as daily drivers, for us this the best of both worlds.  \nWe may have mentioned before that we are going on a trip to Ireland to check out the Causeway Coast Ford Fair, probably mentioned it more than once, anyway next month we will have a full report of this event with loads of pictures etc, its going to be big and worth waiting for…  \nANDY ELLIS & JOHN WAIDECo-Editors  \nDO YOU HAVE A PHENOMENAL MODIFIED FORD?
