It proposes expanding interactive textile comparison, informational awareness about production and supply chain, and enhanced in-store embroidery and customization. The document reviews prior implementations such as interactive fitting rooms and AR-driven digital initiatives, then connects new store concepts to sustainability goals, reduced waste, and growth in target markets. Expected rollout costs and flagship-store theming are discussed through a consumer-focused lens.","Trinity Gates \nTXMI5240 \nRetail Impact: New Technologies & Ralph Lauren \nRalph Lauren is well-refined in their branding and their in-store experience, but Ralph Lauren could benefit from finding innovative ways to attract and appeal to current consumers but also those who don’t usually shop or wouldn’t normally buy from this retailer. These alterations would also be a way to place more emphasis on branding like their craftsmanship and sustainability efforts by incorporating technology and immersive experiences while also honing in their product categories depending on the retailing experience desired. \nSmart technology but also an immersive experience with the textiles-through visual and tactile comparison by the consumer, informational awareness like knowing how they are produced or outlining the production and supply chain, embroidery in-store, customization \nin-store, and specifically product category driven flagship store themes that could draw in consumers could be an appropriate area to expand in. These tactics appeal to the retailer's target customer by appealing to customer values and traditional retail shopping; while also, giving them that high-end feel that's at the core of the brand. These new innovations in retailing and the retailing experience, in general, build off existing ideas but gives Ralph Lauren a fresh approach to reinvigorating their business model and imaging especially when they arguably have a too expansive brand with various products that can be distracting for consumers and decrease the brands status as a high-end retailer. \nIn the past, Polo Ralph Lauren has used smart fitting rooms in the retail experience at flagship stores using Oak Fitting Rooms featuring an interactive touch mirror created by Oak Labs (Apparel Resources News-Desk, 2015). This technology translated content into five languages, allowing consumers to request different sizes, and corresponding items, and to seek assistance from an associate. This technology was originally installed in New York stores and has been implemented in a few other high-performing markets in the past few years. \nOver the past few years, Ralph Lauren has pivoted the brand's approach to a digital-first approach. Ralph Lauren was the first to launch a Snapchat logo scan feature for apparel to create a virtual program to engage with consumers-the interactive Polo Pony Scan offers an augmented reality experience, and more recently they have launched the RL Virtual Store Experience (DeAcetis, 2020) . This experience has been implemented globally and is almost a hybrid of brick-and-mortar and e-commerce. It essentially allows consumers to visit Ralph Laurens's most iconic retail stores from the comfort of their own homes. It is shoppable from the company's store on Madison Avenue in New York City (Phipps, K., Hine, S., Hurly, A., & Gayomali, C., 2020). Viewers can go by room by room in a store and see real-time displays and has been improved in functionality in recent years allowing consumers to take in the Ralph Lauren feel and see things like texture. On top of movement into the metaverse, Ralph Lauren has also considered expansion via NFTs (Retail Customer Experience, 2022) . These efforts have been done to win over the new generation and claim their place in the digital realm. \nRalph Lauren's strategy for the brand until 2025 currently builds on the company's work with closing unproductive stores while cutting back on promotions and offering high-end, expensive items. These efforts will cut back on waste and elevate the brand reinforcing its place as a lifestyle luxury company. This retailer also has unveiled plans to expand traditional, \nbrick-and-mortar stores in Asia and also on the West Coast in the United States planning for up to 20 stores in this region (Bloomberg News, 2022) . Because of the current business plan the expected costs to elevate and draw in consumers with the immersive experience innovations projected costs would be $80k per r","cbCaieYznjZKSwT1","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaieYznjZKSwT1","pdf",79490,1,6,"English","en",105,"# Retail Impact: New Technologies & Ralph Lauren\n## Smart and immersive in-store experience\n## Digital-first initiatives and virtual retail\n## 2025 strategy, expansion plans, and rollout costs\n## Flagship-store theming and product category focus","[{\"question\":\"What retail technologies does the document recommend for Ralph Lauren’s stores?\",\"answer\":\"It recommends interactive textile-focused displays, touch-based comparisons, in-store embroidery, and customization options, plus informational awareness via QR codes and checkout supplements.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the document connect past Ralph Lauren innovations to a new strategy?\",\"answer\":\"It cites interactive fitting rooms and AR/Snapchat-style virtual engagement, then argues these efforts can evolve into more immersive, globally accessible retail experiences.\"},{\"question\":\"What near-2025 business actions and expansion plans are proposed?\",\"answer\":\"The strategy includes closing unproductive stores, reducing promotions, emphasizing high-end lifestyle products, and expanding brick-and-mortar locations in Asia and the U.S. West Coast with trial-based immersive rollouts.\"}]","Retail Impact: New Technologies & Ralph Lauren -
