Directors noted the importance of strong cooperation with development partners and the COVAX facility, and requested a briefing on how engagement with partners is evolving. Management informed that the processing of the operation has been done on an exceptional basis and highly appreciated the Board’s understanding in this. \nDirectors noted the ongoing multiple deep crises facing Lebanon with the deterioration of the COVID-19 situation. They stressed the need for the Bank, together with partners, to continue to support the Government’s overall efforts to bring back stability and sustainability to the country. They noted the urgency of an equitable vaccine roll-out to contain the pandemic to save lives and livelihoods, and appreciated the timely support from the World Bank. They also asked to strengthen oversight, monitoring and risk mitigation in procurement and deployment of vaccines, and ensure the implementation is line with international best practice. \nDirectors asked that due attention and support be given to capacity, financial and technical constraints as well as other readiness issues to ensure delivery of vaccines is undertaken in an organized and prioritized manner to all who reside in Lebanon. \n*This Summary is not an approved record.","cbCaij832SP6Vnkp","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaij832SP6Vnkp","pdf",141881,4,1,"English","en",105,"# Restructuring approval\n## Vaccine eligibility threshold modification\n## Additional Financing implementation under MPA\n## Partner cooperation and COVAX engagement\n## Oversight, monitoring, and risk mitigation\n## Capacity and readiness constraints\n## Equity-focused vaccine rollout","[{\"question\":\"What did the Executive Directors approve regarding the Lebanon Health Resilience Project?\",\"answer\":\"They approved restructuring of the Lebanon Health Resilience Project under the terms and conditions set out in the President’s Memorandum.\"},{\"question\":\"How was the vaccine eligibility threshold modified for financing vaccines?\",\"answer\":\"Eligible vaccines must be approved by either three Stringent Regulatory Authorities (including Emergency Use Authorization and from at least two regions) or be WHO-prequalified and approved by one SRA.\"},{\"question\":\"What priorities did Directors request for COVID-19 vaccine deployment in Lebanon?\",\"answer\":\"They requested urgent, equitable vaccine rollout, strengthened oversight and monitoring with risk mitigation in procurement and deployment, and attention to capacity, financial, technical constraints, and other readiness issues.\"}]","Restructuring of Lebanon Health Resilience Project -
