WHEREAS,the Tohono O'odham Nation approved FY 2004 BIA638 Social Services Budget onSeptember 30,2003,Resolution No.03-436 in the amount ofS2,683,090.20;andWHEREAS,the Tohono O'odham Department of Human Services is presently operating theDivisions of Family Assistance,Child Welfare and Senior Services through an|approved FY2004 BIA638budget;andWHEREAS,budget amendment number one has beensubmitted using savings ofan additional$32,489.56allocationforadministrativeprogramoperations,addinganewline item|-Non-Major Capital Equipment for purchase of non-capital equipment,and anadditional $359,803.39 allocation of welfare assistance funds to provide for anincrease in the foster care rates for Child Welfare;andWHEREAS,any amendments affecting the funding or funding levels of the contract shall besubmitted for review and approval by the Tohono O'odham Legislative Council.NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVEDby the Tohono O'odham Legislative Council that:1.It hereby approves and authorizes FY2004 BIA 638 budget amendment numberoneforthe Department ofHuman Services,Divisions ofFamily Assistance,ChildWelfare and Senior Services in the total amount of$3,075,273.97.Theforegoing
