The Committee supported retiring 20 recommendations from 18 evaluations while continuing tracking for additional year for two areas.","Public Disclosure Authorized Public Disclosure Authorized  \nEnhancing Evidence-based Learning for Outcomes through the Management Action Record A World Bank Group Management Report on Implementation ofIEG Recommendations  \nand  \nIEG Validation of the Management Action Record  \nReport to the Board from the  \nCommittee on Development Effectiveness ∗  \nMeeting of September 7, 2022  \nThe Committee on Development Effectiveness met to consider the Report Enhancing Evidence-based Learningfor Outcomes through the Management Action Record: A World Bank Group Management Report on Implementation of IEG Recommendations (CODE2022-0037), together with the IEG Validation of the Management Action Record (CODE2022-0039) .  \nThe Committee welcomed the WBG Management Action Record (MAR) Report and IEG’s Validation Report and commended IEG-WBG Management for their constructive and increased collaborative approach. Members were pleased with the steady progress in the implementation of the MAR reforms which have led to facilitating real-time learning and adaptation; refining the quality, practicality, and strategic relevance of IEG’s recommendations in influencing the WBG’s work to improve its development effectiveness; and, to a greater focus on outcomes and longer-term shifts. They underscored the importance of the outcome orientation agenda, and commended Management for improving the quality of evidence in the report and for developing the “Likelihood of Delivery”Assessment Framework to assess progress towards intended outcomes and enable a common understanding on what achieving results and outcomes looks like.
