One such measure is the offering of the ACCUPLACER test. This standardized test is one of the determining factors for course placement for new students. The ACCUPLACER tests students’ knowledge in math, reading, and writing and assists in the identification of strengths and needs in each subject area. ACCUPLACER test results are used, along with information about academic background, goals, and interests, to place students in courses that match their skill levels and provide the best opportunities for success.  \nWE’RE HERE TO MEET THE  \nSTUDENTS’ NEEDS  \nACCUPLACER tests are untimed, so students can proceed through the test at a comfortable pace. It’s important for students to give themselves enough time to do their best and to complete the test because the results are one of the key factors in determining course placement.  \nACCUPLACER results will be available immediately upon completion of the test.  \nMost students take the test on campus in the ARC, however, some students may need to take the test under remote circumstances. This would include students who are not local or who have enrolled in one of our online programs.  \nREQUIRED STEPS FOR STUDENTS TO TAKE THE ACCUPLACER REMOTELY: *Note: There is no required fee for the ACCUPLACER Test.  \n1.
