Introduction \nThe AMETEK JOFRA CPC is designed to verify and calibrate pressure gauges, transducers, pressure switches, safety valves, P/I transmitters, perform pressure switch tests, and measure current and pressure. Current and pressure measurements are simultaneously displayed on the calibrator. The calibrator can measure vacuum and pressure up to 10 psi / 0.7 bar, 30 psi / 2 bar, or 200 psi / 15 bar depending on sensor type and current up to 24mA. \n1.1 Contacting Ametek \nUS, Canada, Latin America Europe, Africa, Middle East Asia \nAMETEK TCI at 1-800-527-9999 \nAMETEK Denmark A/S at + 45 4816 8000 AMETEK Singapore [Pte. If there appears to be any damage, equipment missing or if there are any questions about the unit, contact AMETEK. \nCheck to see if your calibrator is complete. It should include: \n• CPC Calibrator \n• Instruction Manual \n• Test Leads \n• Carrying Case \n1.3 Safety information \nSymbols Used \nThe following table lists the International Electrical Symbols. Some or all of these symbols may be used on the instrument or in this manual. \nSymbol Description \nAC (Alternating Current) \nAC-DC \nBattery \nCE Complies with European Union Directives \nDC \nDouble Insulated \nElectric Shock \nFuse \nPE Ground \nHot Surface (Burn Hazard) \nRead the User’s Manual (Important Information) \nOff \nOn \nCanadian Standards Association \n This calibrator must be recycled or disposed of properly (2002/95/EC) . \nThe following definitions apply to the terms “Warning” and “Caution”. \n• “Warning” identifies conditions and actions that may pose hazards to the user. \n• “Caution” identifies conditions and actions that may damage the instrument being used. \nUse the calibrator only as specified in this manual, otherwise injury and damage to the calibrator may occur. \n Warning \nTo avoid possible electric shock or personal injury: \n• Do not apply more than the rated voltage. See specifications for supported ranges. \n• Pressure switches must not be connected to any other voltage source during a test. \n• Follow all equipment safety procedures. \n• Never touch the probe to a voltage source when the test leads are plugged into the current terminals. \n• Do not use the calibrator if it is damaged. Before you use the calibrator, inspect the case. Look for cracks or missing plastic. Pay particular attention to the insulation surrounding the connectors. \n• Select the proper function and range for your measurement. \n• Make sure the battery cover is closed and latched before you operate the calibrator. \n• Remove test leads from the calibrator before you open the battery door. \n• Inspect the test leads for damaged insulation or exposed metal. Check test leads continuity. Replace damaged test leads before you use the calibrator. \n• When using the probes, keep your fingers away from the probe contacts. Keep your fingers behind the finger guards on the probes. \n• Connect the common test lead before you connect the live test lead. \nWhen you disconnect test leads, disconnect the live test lead first. \n• Do not use the calibrator if it operates abnormally. Protection may be impaired. When in doubt, have the calibrator serviced. \n• Do not operate the calibrator around explosive gas, vapor, or dust. \n• When using a pressure module, make sure the process pressure line is shut off and depressurized before you connect it or disconnect it from the CPC or pressure module. \n• Disconnect test leads before changing to another measure or source function. \n• When servicing the calibrator, use only specified replacement parts. \n• To avoid false readings, which could lead to possible electric shock or personal injury, replace the battery as soon as the battery indicator ap","cbCaiu6lvdWoxm75","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiu6lvdWoxm75","pdf",637097,16,"English","# Introduction\n## Contacting Ametek\n## Standard Equipment\n## Safety information\n# Calibrator Display and Controls\n## Display and Inputs\n## Key Functions","[{\"question\":\"What does the AMETEK JOFRA CPC calibrator measure and verify?\",\"answer\":\"It is designed to verify and calibrate pressure gauges, transducers, pressure switches, safety valves, and P/I transmitters.
