The story retells the biblical account of Adam and Eve’s sons, Cain and Abel, including their different livelihoods, the offerings brought to God, and God’s message to Cain when he becomes angry. It then follows Cain’s attack and the consequences pronounced by God, concluding with Cain being marked and sent away, plus reading lessons and word practice.","Reader 3: Cain and Abel \nLearn to read book \nEnglish Spiritual \nCopyright © 2020, Glenys Waters \n[http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) \nYou are free to make commercial use of this work. The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground. \nNow you are cursed and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. From now on, when you work the ground, it won't yield its strength to you . You shall be a fugitive \nand a wanderer in the earth. \" \nCain said to God, \"My punishment is more than I can bear. Today you are driving me out from the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a \nfugitive and a wanderer in the earth. And whoever finds me will kill me . \" \nGod said to him, \n\"Not so . If anyone kills you, I will repay him with seven times more trouble . \" Then God put a mark on Cain, so that anyone who found him would see the mark and not kill him . \nCain went out from God's presence, and went to live in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden . \nLesson 1 \n Adam and Eve had two sons \nAdam and Eve had a son .
