You can request additional information from RCC EMS administration.  \nPREREQUISITES  \nThe following criteria must be met prior to entering the ALS Program. Students should bring all of the information listed below prior to registering for the class. Registration will not be allowed without fulfilling each prerequisite. RCC EMS Program requires applicants MUST:  \n• Possession of a valid and active North Carolina EMT Credential, NREMT or other states EMS Credential prior to the start of the clinical or field component.  \n• Provide a copy of a current credential in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.  \n• Complete the current reading and math assessment tests and score reading comprehension and math skills at the 12th grade level. Students producing a college transcript illustrating successful completion of a college-level English and/or Math course are exempt from the reading and/or math assessment.
