Quality assurance procedures are in place throughout every stage of the exam cycle, from the recruitment and training of examiners through to issuing certificates.The information here summarises these procedures.  \nBefore the exam is sat we make sure that we have the right number of examiners and that everyone has the knowledge and skills to mark.  \nAfter the exam has been sat our examiners are trained to mark answers using real student responses to the question paper. Examiners have to prove that they are able to mark accurately and consistently against the mark scheme before they’re allowed to begin marking for us.  \nWhile examiners are marking senior examiners regularly check to make sure their marking is accurate and consistent.With our online marking system, we can do this in real-time. If there are concerns about the way an examiner has been marking, we’ll stop them and reassign their work to another examiner.
