When do you use a dash or an ellipsis? \nThis resource will show you the basics about proper \npunctuation. \nPUNCTUATION 3 \n4 PUNCTUATION \nPunctuation Checkup \nInstructions \nThe text on the following page contains many errors pertaining to punctuation. Punctuation errors include mistakes in the use of the apostrophe, capitalization, colon, comma, hyphen, parentheses, dash, ellipsis, quotation marks, and semicolon. \nRead through the text titled “Cultural Exchange Programs” and underline any word containing an error or any piece of punctuation that is incorrect. If punctuation is missing or incorrect, underline the word preceeding it. \nOnce you have completed the Punctuation Checkup, compare your answers to the key on page 243. If you find all the errors of a particular type, then place acheckmark in “Topic Mastered.” If you miss an error of a particular type, then place a checkmark in “Topic to Review.” You may then use this chart to guide what topics you need to review in this section. \n\n| Error Type | Topic Mastered | Topic to Review |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| 1. apostrophe | | |\n| 2. capitalization | | |\n| 3. colon | | |\n| 4. comma | | |\n| 5. hyphen | | |\n| 6. parentheses, dash and ellipsis | | |\n| 7. quotation marks | | ","cbCaiaX6AVKKelHg","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiaX6AVKKelHg","pdf",3060829,68,"English","# Punctuation\n## Punctuation Checkup\n## Apostrophe\n## Quiz Yourself: Apostrophe\n## Challenge Yourself: Apostrophe\n## Capitalization\n## Quiz Yourself: Capitalization\n## Challenge Yourself: Capitalization\n## Colon\n## Quiz Yourself: Colon\n## Challenge Yourself: Colon\n## Comma\n## Quiz Yourself: Comma\n## Challenge Yourself: Comma\n## Hyphen\n## Quiz Yourself: Hyphen\n## Challenge Yourself: Hyphen\n## Parentheses, Dash, and Ellipsis\n## Quiz Yourself: Parentheses, Dash, and Ellipsis\n## Challenge Yourself: Parentheses, Dash, and Ellipsis\n## Quotation Marks\n## Quiz Yourself: Quotation Marks\n## Challenge Yourself: Quotation Marks\n## Semicolon\n## Quiz Yourself: Semicolon\n## Challenge Yourself: Semicolon\n## Putting It Together\n## Answer Key","[{\"question\":\"What should learners do after completing the section activities?\",\"answer\":\"Use the mastered/review chart to guide what to revisit, then complete “Putting It Together” and check responses with the answer key.\"}]","Punctuation - eTextbook | PDF",1789425808,171]
