Many dangers and diseases could harm him!  \n— Is there a way to protect our baby? Every mother and father wants to protect their child.  \nPROT GER LA VIE  \nVotre bébé est là. Beaucoup de dangers et de maladies peuvent l’attaquer.  \n— Est-ce que nous pouvons l’éviter ? Chaque mère etchaque père veulent protéger leur enfant.  \nHOW?  \nMany parents attach cords and amulets to their baby. They have been told to attach them when the baby is born to protect the baby from harmful diseases and other dangers.  \nBut do these traditions give enough protection? Do the babies who wear these cords and amulets not get sick any more?  \nCOMMENT?  \nBeaucoup de parents attachent des cordes et des amulettes à leur enfant. Leurs a􀀭̂nés ont dit de les attacher dès la naissance pour éviter les dangers ou les maladies.  \nMais est-ce que ces traditions enlèvent tous les dangers ? Est-ce que les enfants qui portent ces cordes et amulettes ne tombent plus malades ?  \nPROTECTIVE MEASURES  \nThere are many things you can do to protect the health of your child:  \n— go to the doctor for regular check-ups during your pregnancy.  \n— breast feed your baby.  \nPROTECTION PAR UN ENSEMBLE DE MESURES  \nPour protéger la santé de l’enfant, nous pouvons faire beaucoup de choses :  \n— Se faire suivre durant la grossesse et l’accouchement  \n— Donner à l’enfant le lait maternel  \n—weigh your baby each month at the health clinic.  \n— avoid malaria by using a mosquito net over your baby’s bed and give your baby nivaquine in doses the doctor recommends.  \n— bathe your baby often to keep him clean.  \n— supplement breast milk with a balanced diet starting at 6 months of age. Talk to your doctor about what foods to feed your baby.  \nAND ... VACCINATE THE CHILD AGAINST DISEASES!  \n— Faire peser l’enfant chaque mois à la PMI  \n— Eviter le paludisme par la moustiquaire  \n— Garder l’enfant très propre  \n—Ajouter de bons repas après 6 mois  \nET....FAIRE VACCINER L’ENFANT .  \nCAN WE AVOID THIS?  \nSome diseases are very dangerous for a baby.  \nThese diseases may kill the baby or cripple the baby for life. Medicines are not always effective against these diseases. We must do all we can to prevent our children from getting these diseases! The traditional methods of protection are not enough.
