The school’s objective is to provide value-based, quality education that is holistic and well rounded. The school includes the North Campus for Playgroup to Grade II and the South Campus for Grade III to A Level, designed to provide students with excellent learning opportunities inan inspirational learning environment. \nWhere did your school’s journey with Preparing to Teach begin? \nOur journey began in June 2020 when my section headmistress nominated me for the Global English course. I was keen to learn more about the resources. \n2 \nGeneration’s School Karachi, Pakistan Preparing to Teach Cambridge Global English \nMsAdeela Zeeshan \nCoordinator, Academics, Junior Section \nYour experience with Preparing to Teach \nWhat are your school’s professional development goals? \nOur goals are to develop the capacity of our teachers for deeper understanding of the Cambridge standards, syllabus aims, teaching approaches and assessment objectives. \nWhich aspects of Preparing to Teach did you find the most helpful? \nThe way the masterclass was conducted. It was systematic, very guided, had a flexible approach and provided us with everything we needed: the cascade workshop materials, activities, strategies and practical timeline to run the course. \nHow did you prepare teachers, students and parents for the change? \nWe informed all stakeholders of the upcoming change. We sent a detailed letter to parents to tell them about the benefits of the resources. The teachers allowed their students to browse the new books. Our regular meetings took place with the lead teacher to discuss the new resources and how they will be used in the classroom. \nThe sessions were comprehensive, informative and interactive. MsAdeela made our learning enjoyable and interesting by allowing us to apply theory in practice. \nSana Ali \nHome Teacher – Grade III \nHow are you measuring the impact of the Preparing to Teach course? \nWe are observing lessons, checking lesson plans, and recognising our teachers’ willingness to learn and enhance their knowledge. Also, by attending their ‘Team Time’, teachers get to know the challenges and successes. Parents have reacted positively, asking questions and showing a readiness to learn with us, specifically on how they can support their children at home. We have been listening to students in class, watching them apply the learning concepts confidently, checking their work and seeing them engage in the activities. \nDid you feel confident delivering your own in-school workshop? \nI felt confident because I had all of the resources and knowledge needed to conduct my own in-school workshop, following the masterclass session. My headmistress and I shared our learning from the masterclass and discussed our ideas. The additional support helped to boost my confidence in understanding how to apply the key teaching approaches alongside the resources. \nDid the workshop receive positive feedback from teachers? \nYes. Our in-school workshop helped our teachers to understand the importance of active learning, assessment for learning tools, and exploring the Cambridge International curriculum. \nTo find out more about our professional development opportunities, [visit](visit www.cambridge.org/education/pd)[ www.cambridge.org/education/pd](visit www.cambridge.org/education/pd).","cbCaiicpHfqonpVw","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiicpHfqonpVw","pdf",1576165,"English","# About your school\n## Preparing to Teach journey and professional development goals\n## What was most helpful in the course\n## Preparing teachers, students, and parents for change\n## Measuring the course impact\n## Delivering and receiving feedback on in-school workshops","[{\"question\":\"How did the school begin its journey with Preparing to Teach?\",\"answer\":\"The journey started in June 2020 when the section headmistress nominated the coordinator for the Global English course to learn more about the resources.\"},{\"question\":\"What goals did the school set for professional development?\",\"answer\":\"The goals were to build teachers’ capacity for a deeper understanding of Cambridge standards, syllabus aims, teaching approaches, and assessment objectives.\"},{\"question\":\"How was the impact of the Preparing to Teach course measured?\",\"answer\":\"The school observed lessons, reviewed lesson plans, and assessed teachers’ willingness to learn and enhance knowledge through “Team Time.” Student engagement and application of learning concepts were also monitored, along with positive parent responses.\"}]","Preparing to Teach Cambridge Global English Case Study - Generation’s School Karachi, Pakistan | PDF",1792723027]
