Please refer to the  Accessibility Supports Guide for PreACT Secure on your ACT webpage for more information related to available accommodations and supports.  \nProcess Overview  \nAll examinees testing with accommodationsand/or supports must be assigned accordingly in ACT Now. Your district test coordinator or school test coordinator can perform these actions. (Check the User Roles: Building a Test Administration Team posted on your program’s ACT-hosted web page to see more details about user roles.)  \nThe general process is summarized below. Adding students: Students first must be added to ACT Now. Check your test dates or schedule to confirm who is responsible for this activity.  \nAssigning accommodations and supports:  \nYou can assign student accommodations and supports in any of these ways in ACT Now:  \n􀁺 Individual upload: As you add students individually, enter the accommodationsand/or supports information.  \n􀁺 Bulk upload: After students have been added, upload a .csv file with accommodations and supports  \ninformation. The information will be added to the appropriate student records. See Uploading the Accommodations Students File. Follow the layout requirements in  \nPreACT Secure Accommodations Students File.  \n􀁺 After upload: After students have been added, edit student information individually, entering their accommodations and supports information.  \nUpdating student information: You must complete all updates to student information—including accommodations and supports—before the deadline for adding and assigning additional students for the appropriate test event. This will ensure accommodations and supports are correctly assigned to the student's online test and the correct materials are shipped for paper testing, if needed.  \nUploading the Accommodations Students File  \nFollow these instructions to upload  \naccommodations information for students:  \n1. Download the files: From the Students tile in ACT Now, select Files. On the Files page, select the Accommodations tab and do the following:  \na. Select Download template to get the template for the Accommodations Students File.  \nb. In ACT Now Guidelines, access the Layout Requirements: Accommodations Students File document.  \nNote: These two documents are also on your ACT-hosted web page.  \n2. Complete the template: Per the layout requirements, complete the following fields in the template for each student:  \na. State Student ID: This must match the state student ID already assigned to the student's record, including leading zeros.  \nb. Local Organization Code: This must match the code displayed after the organization name in ACT Now.  \nc. Last Name  \nd. Accommodations: Select from the valid values in the layout requirements document.  \ne. Tests: Select from the valid values in the layout requirements document.  \n3. Upload the file: Once you have completed your file, save it in a location where you can easily find it later when you need to upload it. To upload the file, go back to the Files page in ACT Now and ensure you are on the Accommodations tab, select Upload file, and follow the prompts.  \nTroubleshooting Upload Errors  \nIf there are issues uploading, an error message will display.  \nFollow these steps to address the errors:  \n1. Select Download rows with errors.  \n2. Open your downloaded .csv file.  \n3. Select the Download error messages button for each row with errors to see what needs to be fixed.  \n4. In your .csv file, make the needed edits and save the file.
