It provides an overview of the assessment explaining what it measures and how itworks. \nIt also provides 5 practice questions. After these practice questions, solutions and rationale havebeen provided to help you gain a deeper understanding. We would encourage you to attempt all thepractice questions without looking atthe solutions first. \n## Deductive Logical Reasoning\n\nAon’s Deductive Reasoning assessment measures your ability to apply given rules to logicalproblems in one or more steps. \nIn the assessment, you will receive instructions along with a practice task that you can repeat asmany times as you like before you start the actual assessment. \n## How Does The Deductive Reasoning Assessment Work?\n\nYou are presented with a 4*4 or 5*5 grid. Some of the squares in thegrid have shapes in, others are blank. One square has a‘?’ in it. Yourtask is to figure out what shape would go in this square. To help figurethis out, you know that no shape is repeated in any row or column. \nTo find the right answer, the system allows you to fill in the emptysquares ofthe grid. But keep in mind your task is notto fill the grid, itis to find the shape that belongs in the square with the question mark!Once you have worked out the correct shape, you select it from belowthe grid. You will then be taken to the next question. \nThere is no set number of questions; the system will continue to giveyou a new question every time you complete one. The test may also get more difficult as you \nprogress. \n## Guidance for the Practice Questions\n\nThe actual assessment you will take is timed, andthere are an unlimited number of questions – youjust need to work quickly and accurately, to try to get as many correct as possible in the timeprovided. As such, there is no specific time limit in the practice tasks. Try to focus and completethem quickly in a single session. \nYou should use a pencil so you can keep track of the steps you take in working out the answers. Youcan then also write down your final answers, so that you can compare your answers to the solutionsatthe end. \nTo continue to practice, spend more time reviewing the example tasks and solutions provided here. You may also want to see what other shapes you can work out in the practice questions in thisdocument – but do be careful as you cannot always work out every shape! \n## Practice Tasks\n\nExample 1 \nExample 2 \nExample 3 \nExample 4 \nExample 5 \n# Solution & Rationale\n\nExample 1 - Solution \nAnswer: Circle \nRationale: The question mark is in the third column , which already contains three out of \nthe four items: cross, star and triangle. The only one missing isthe circle, which isthecorrect answer. \nExample 2 - Solution \nAnswer: Triangle \nRationale: The question mark is in the first column, which has two missing shapes: crossand triangle. When cross-checking with the third row, it becomes clear that this row is stillmissing a cross while it already contains a triangle This means that only the triangle canbe placed in the square of the question mark. \nExample 3 - Solution \nAnswer: Circle \nRationale: The question mark is in the third column, which has two missing shapes: starand circle. When cross-checking with the first row, it becomes clear that this row alreadyhas a star , which only leaves the circle as the correct answer.","cbCainb54PpMzebQ","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainb54PpMzebQ","pdf",803675,12,"English","# Practice Tasks\n## How To Use This Document\n## Deductive Logical Reasoning\n## How Does The Deductive Reasoning Assessment Work?\n## Guidance for the Practice Questions\n## Practice Tasks\n# Solution & Rationale","[{\"question\":\"What does the deductive reasoning assessment measure?\",\"answer\":\"It measures your ability to apply given rules to logical problems in one or more steps.\"},{\"question\":\"How do I determine the shape in the '?' square?\",\"answer\":\"Use the rule that no shape is repeated in any row or column, fill empties as allowed, then select the shape that must belong in the '?' square.\"},{\"question\":\"Is there a time limit during the practice tasks?\",\"answer\":\"No specific time limit is stated for the practice tasks, but the real assessment is timed, so the guidance recommends working quickly and accurately in one session.\"}]","Practice Tasks - Deductive Reasoning (Gap Challenge) - How to Use | PDF",1790758023]
