It is only offered by schools and skills course providers. This guide provides details on the Practical Skills Test. It is intended to be used as a tool and offer insight into testing procedure, rules of the test, and grading criteria for students and test providers. Information on the testing process, rules, and grading guidelines is provided below.  \nThe Practical Skills Test for Cosmetologist, Hair technician, Esthetician, and Nail Technician students is divided into a Hair Care Segment, Skin Care Segment, and Nail Care Segment and has a total of 14 service sections. Each service section has a specific set of criteria and competency measures. Cosmetologists are required to pass the Hair Care Segment, Skin Care Segment, and Nail Care Segment, whereas hair technicians, estheticians and nail technicians are only required to pass their respective segments.  \nThe Practical Skills Test for Eyelash Technician students consists of one section including eyelash extension application and removal.  \nThe Practical Skills Test and clinical service exercise requirements were developed by a task force of industry experts with the assistance of Board staff and approved by the Board. The test and clinical service exercises are expected to be updated as necessary and as significant changes occur within the eyelash extension industry.
