The four sections ( Mathematics, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Report Writing) are made up of story problems, multiple-choice, and true/false formats, and the writing section will assess your ability to write effectively.  \nThough most of the questions in the POST relate to police duty, no prior knowledge of laws or law enforcement will be needed to answer the questions. You will not be allowed to use a calculator, so it is very important that you know how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide (including long division) without one, as well as knowing how to calculate fractions and percentages.
