It is part of the African Storybook Initiative, copyrighted in 2015. The story follows a young man named Pontshibobo, who is described as a good and respectful individual. His friendship with Hippo is tested when Hippo suggests they go smoke, an activity Pontshibobo disapproves of. When Pontshibobo refuses, Hippo declares their friendship over, leaving Pontshibobo heartbroken. Dejected, Pontshibobo sits under a tree in his yard and cries, only to be surprised when the tree begins to speak to him. The story explores themes of friendship, peer pressure, and the unexpected comfort found in nature.
