Detailed Description of the Invention\n\n \nThe present invention relates to a polyester compositionhat has excellent dyeability for acid dyes. \nPolyesters,especially polyalkylene terephthalate, havexcellent heat resistance and chemical and physical properties,o they are widely used in the fields of films, fibers, andillegible]. \nDigitized by the Internet Archivein 2016 \nhttps://archive.org/details/polyestercomposi00chim_0 \n—3— \nIn particular, fibers obtained from polyesters are highlycrystalline and have high softening points and exhibit excellentstrength, elastic modulus, and resistance to chemicals andlight, etc. \nHowever,these polyester fibers have in addition to themerits mentioned above the shortcoming of being difficult todye. In other words, because they do not have coloring seatsfor ionic dyes such as acid and basic dyes in their structuralcomponents and because of [illegible],they can only be dyedby disperse dyes. \nVarious proposals have been made in the past as improvedmethods for dyeing with basic and acid dyes. For example,a method for modifying polyesters to make them dyeable withacid dyes,in particular,is the method of copolymerizinga compound that contains basic functional groups at the stagewhen the polyester is polymerized. However, this methodis characterized by the shortcomings that the polyesterproduced undergoes coloring and there is a substantialdecline in its softening point. \nAnother method proposed is to compound the polyesterwith a polymer of a polyamide system with basic functionalgroups. In this case, when improvement is attempted bycompounding a polyamide that contains primary amines \n(0.5-1.0×10⁻⁴equivalents/mole)as dye seats as the endgroups of the [illegible],such as nylon 6 or nylon 66,a large \n—4— \nquantity must be compounded in order to ensure that therewill be enough of the terminal amino groups that constitutethe dye seats of the acid dye for adequate dyeing, and asa result the desirable properties intrinsic to polyestersdecline substantially. Consequently, this cannot be calleda desirable method. \nOn the other hand,in order to solve the above problemsa proposal has been made to introduce a large number of terti-ary amino groups into the structural components of the poly-amide to increase the quantity of dye seats and decrease theamount of polyamide added(The Netherlands Patent 7,009,442).However,adequate dyeability is not obtained simply by addingpolyamides containing a large quantity of amino groups tothe polyester unless the dyeing is c","cbCainZTiygekczs","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainZTiygekczs","pdf",897999,36,"English","# Title of Invention\n# Claim\n# Detailed Description of the Invention","[{\"question\":\"What is the key goal of the invention?\",\"answer\":\"To provide a polyester composition with excellent dyeability for acid dyes.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the composition achieve improved acid dyeability?\",\"answer\":\"By compounding a polyester containing over 80 mol% alkylene terephthalate chains with a polyamide that includes tertiary amino groups and follows a specified generic formula.\"},{\"question\":\"Why are some earlier approaches considered disadvantageous?\",\"answer\":\"Methods based on copolymerizing basic functional groups or compounding polyamides with primary amines can cause coloring and/or require large polyamide amounts, which substantially reduces desirable polyester properties.\"}]","Polyester Compositions - SpecificatIQN | PDF",1789965322,91]
