real life of the Black woman.God has a purpose for your plight.God wants yourplight to take flight. \nForeword:Initially,I didn't want to make any personal references to myself but God,has put iton my heart, just observations.I wanted the material and information to speak for its self. But,there had to be reasoning to cause such concern. As you read this book,I pray you grasp what ismeant for you because everyone has a different story. The focus is first and foremost,to seekGod and build his kingdom-it's the starting point. But,factor in reality and life experiences, togrow you and your family into the blessings God has for you. \n## Chapter 1:Losing perspective of the Past\n\n*Historical-Slave Rape,Master Manipulation \nFor many Black woman slavery's effects are generational without notice. The generational rapeofthe Black woman and destruction of the family unit has had a profound effect. On ourmothers, who lived through Civil rights and Women's rights to our grandmothers &greatgrandmothers who were first descendants of free slaves-not to far removed?Hundreds of yearsof slavery does not fade easily and lessons are passed down. \nSlavery in the United States was a form of slave labor which existed as a legal institution inNorth America for more than a century before the founding of the United States in 1776,andcontinued mostly in the South until the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to the UnitedStates Constitution in 1865.The first English colony in North America,Virginia, acquired itsfirst Africans in 1619,after a ship arrived, unsolicited, carrying a cargo of about 20 Africans. Thus,a practice established in the Spanish colonies as early as the 1560s was expanded into \nEnglish North America. \n## The first record of African slavery in British colonial America was made in 1619.\n\nThe historian Ira Berlin called this forced migration the Second Middle Passage.Characterizingit as the \"central event\"in the life of a slave between the American Revolution and the CivilWar,Berlin wrote that whether slaves were directly uprooted or lived in fear that they or theirfamilies would be involuntarily moved,\"the massive deportation traumatized black people, bothslave and free.\" \nBerlin wrote \"The slave trade industry developed its own unique language, with terms such as\"prime hands, bucks, breeding wenches, and fancy girls\"coming into common use \naccounts by former slaves gathered under the Works Progress Administration(WPA),all attestedto the abuse of women slaves by white men. \nFrederick Douglass, who grew up as a slave in Maryland, reported the systematic separation ofslave families and widespread rape of slave women to boost slave numbers. In addition, courtcases, such as that of Margaret Garner or Celia,a slave in 19th-century Missouri who killed hermaster when pregnant the third time by him, dealt with women slaves who had been sexuallyabused by masters. \nDuring this period in our history,I'm reminded of the coping skills used through Gospel Music, that slaves sang praises and heartache to the Lord.I've learned that singing and listening toGospel Music is therapeutic, soothing and uplifting.Oftentimes, while in tribulations you mustlook for something soothing. You can never take the spirit away from anyone because it's withinthe heart. \nThat trauma can be debilitating and keep you in one place. One spot, one ideology, one theory, and one mindset that may be preventing your freedom.Egyptian slaves,Black slaves, femaleslaves, slaves all the same. But slavery begins in the entrapment of the mind and spirit and howyou deal through your storm. \nPLIGHT:Massive Deportation, the effects of w","cbCairPBYaPTMRmV","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCairPBYaPTMRmV","pdf",3218297,32,"English","# Preface\n#
