Dr. Tiu of 176 Anthoni Ave spoke against a special use permit, stating he was unaware of the application. Councilor Jerry Sklavounakis also spoke against the permit. Mr. Beddow addressed concerns about RF emissions and presented photos of screening options, deeming them not sufficiently less intrusive or feasible. A motion to approve the special use permit, seconded by Mr. Schwarz, failed with a vote of 2-5. Commissioner Palmer argued against the permit, noting that new businesses did not invest with the knowledge of a cell tower being built, which he believes goes against the community's character. All submitted documents are on file in the office of Building and Planning.
