It’s not difficult to organise, it’s enjoyable for your members, and it’s a good opportunity for your NM to have an international presence.  \n2) Appoint a NM PhotoCup coordinator or a small PhotoCup team, depending on the size of your NM. Please get together with your team, or with other marketing/social media volunteers in your NM, and take a look at this presentation. It should help you a lot.  \n3) Make sure your NM PhotoCup coordinator’s name and contact details are on this sheet.  \n4) If you haven’t done so already, announce the theme (“SPARK OF EVOLUTION”) and the date by when your members must submit their entries. Note: the deadline for NMs to submit their members’ photos to Mensa International (MI) is 31 August. Therefore, please leave enough time for processing and judging your members’ entries so that you don’t have to rush at the end of August.  \n5) If you already have an online tool that your members can use to send their images and  EXIF data to you, that’s fine. If not, you can use our ready-made entry form. You can find the form and the instructions here.  \n6) If the first language used in your NM is not English, please download a copy of the Key Information, Rules, Terms and Conditions document, and translate it into your own language for your members.  \n7) Here are all your Campaign-in-a-box marketing materials, including the poster, e-mail templates, and social media posts. You can edit them by downloading the open Photoshop ( . psd) files.  \n8) In the biggest change this year, we’re asking you to share with us ALL your members’ photos so we can enter them for judging in the main competition: “Mensa International PhotoCup 2026”. Please share the Google drive link to all your members’ photos with us (by enabling editable access) . We highly recommend you to please go through the PhotoCup Submission Instructions.  \n9) You need to appoint a PhotoCup jury to score and judge the photographs submitted by your members. Please ask them to choose one winner and two runners-up (2nd and 3rd) . Then you can enter your NM team in the Mensa PhotOlympics 2026 competition using this form.  \n10) Of course, for your own NM PhotoCup competition,  \n● you can select a final top 10 or 15 or 20 (the exact number is up to you) .  \n● you’re encouraged to give out prizes and certificates (the details are up to you) .  \n● you’re encouraged to announce your “[NM name] Photographer of the Year 2026”, plus the runners-up, and publicise their photos on your NM communication channels (but again, exactly how you run/publicise/market your competition is up to you) .  \n5 Helpful Suggestions for NMs  \n1) About your PhotoCup jury:  \n● It is of course preferable if your jury includes some people with experience in and knowledge of photography.  \n● Non-members can also be invited to serve on your jury. This allows for the inclusion of local dignitaries, businesspeople, professional photographers, and so on, thus raising the profile of your competition.  \n● Send a letter/e-mail and, perhaps, a token of appreciation to your judges.  \n2) Interview the winner and runners-up and make a news story that you can use on your NM communication channels (you could also approach the local media) .
