The program targets vocabulary growth, prediction, sequencing, and understanding that books are made of words while keeping the teacher as the primary reader initially.","Phoˇtaˇleˇ-oˇ, guiˬ lahˬ huiˬ ma de. \nPhaˇ dmˬ tsawˇ myahˇ: Phoˇtaˇleˇ-oˇ guiˬ lahˬ huiˬ ma de Boꞈ-eu ghaˬ:Na Tiqwah Aˇbaˇ: Saiˬ Roˇ \nTsawˇjeuˬ dawˬ : Aˬkhaˬ \nLaˆ saˆ-euˬ ghaˬ: Aˇ sehˆ, Aˇ doˬ Yaˬ beh beh-euˬ poˆ: Joˬ ba la,2017 \nAkha \nPhoˇtaˇleˇ-oˇ, guiˬ lahˬ huiˬ ma de. It promotes enjoyment of storybooks, development of vocabulary, the skills of prediction, sequencing and main idea, and the understanding that books are made up of words. \nOn Monday , the teacher \n shows everyone the cover of the book \n reads the title, while moving a finger under it \n turns to the first page, and discusses the picture (asks the children to predict what will happen) \n reads the text on the first page, fluently (not slowly), and \n asks the children what they think they will see on each page. (The teacher is the only one “reading.”) On Tuesday , the teacher \n shows everyone the book, and \n reads the story again, following the words with a finger, without as much discussion of the pictures. \nOn Wednesday , the teacher \n invites children to join in with “reading” when the story comes to parts which are familiar to them \n shows a flashcard from the story and tells the class what the card says, and \n invites children to find the same word in the storybook (or to match the card with the word in the book to see if it is the same) On Thursday , the teacher \n points smoothly to the words in the story and lets some volunteers “read” a page, if they can remember the story by now, and \n lets the children match the flashcards to the words in the story. \nOn Friday , the children \n act out (dramatize) the story as others help the teacher “read” it. \nPhoˇtaˇleˇ-aˬ, sahˬ boꞈ sawˇ zaˬ pyeuꞈ-eu meh. \nPhoˇtaˇleˇ-aˬ, mawˇ khawˇ aˇ baˇ baˇ zaˬ deuˬ jaˆ meh. \nPhoˇtaˇleˇ-aˬ, dzaˬ-eu ghaˇ duˬ khaˬ muˇ jaˆ meh. \nPhoˇtaˇleˇ-aˬ, mawˇ khawˇ hawˇ-eu, khaˬ muˇ sahˬ boꞈ sawˇ nymˇ-ahˇ yuˇ \ngheh-euˬ meh. \nPhoˇtaˇleˇ-aˬ, chawˬ deuˬ-ahˇ mawˇ khawˇ aˇ baˇ deuˬ bi mui niˇ gha-eu meh.","cbCair9t9Gs6peOY","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCair9t9Gs6peOY","pdf",7799894,6,1,20,"English","en",105,"# Teacher Guide\n## Two-week reading purpose\n## Monday: cover and first-page prediction\n## Tuesday: re-read with finger following\n## Wednesday: shared reading and flashcards\n## Thursday: volunteer reading and word matching\n## Friday: dramatization","[{\"question\":\"This Big Book activity is designed to last how long?\",\"answer\":\"The guide states it is designed to be used for two weeks.\"},{\"question\":\"What skills does the teacher plan aim to develop?\",\"answer\":\"It promotes enjoyment of storybooks and develops vocabulary, prediction, sequencing, and main idea, while reinforcing that books are made up of words.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the plan use flashcards during the week?\",\"answer\":\"On Wednesday, the teacher shows a flashcard from the story, tells what it says, and asks children to find the same word in the storybook or match it to the printed word.\"}]","Phoˇtaˇleˇ-oˇ, guiˬ lahˬ huiˬ ma de -
