He went from house to house in Jerusalem, dragging out men and women to put them in prison.  \nThese believers fled to other regions throughout Judea and Samaria. Wherever they went, they told people about Jesus Christ.  \nPhilip was a leader among the believers living in Jerusalem. He was a wise man and controlled by the Holy Spirit. Philip left Jerusalem and went to a city in Samaria.  \nIn Samaria, Philip told the people about Jesus Christ. He also performed many miraculous signs. Demons came out from many people, and through Philip, God healed many paralyzed and lame people.  \nMany people rejoiced in that city. Many men and women who heard Philip speak about Jesus Christ and saw the miraculous signs believed Philip’s message and he baptized them.  \nA local man named Simon had been a sorcerer for many years. He amazed the people from Samaria with his sorcery.
