It details the procedural requirements for verifying candidate presence, handling unregistered candidates, and managing exam scripts post-assessment. Key instructions cover the proper organization of scripts in candidate number order, the utilization of specific return packets, and the application of bar-coded labels to ensure administrative accuracy. Furthermore, it outlines protocols for scenarios such as candidate absence, split packets for high-volume entries, and special invigilation arrangements, referencing the Cambridge Handbook for comprehensive compliance. The guidance serves as a critical reference for maintaining accurate, formal examination records to uphold the integrity and security of the assessment return process.",{"@graph":69,"@context":122},[70,84,105],{"@type":71,"itemListElement":72},"BreadcrumbList",[73,77,79,82],{"item":74,"name":75,"@type":76,"position":8},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":78,"name":9,"@type":76,"position":14},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/",{"item":80,"name":20,"@type":76,"position":81},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/exam/",3,{"item":83,"name":65,"@type":76,"position":19},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/phase-5-completing-an-attendance-register-exam-officer-guidance/642132/",{"url":83,"name":65,"@type":85,"image":86,"author":91,"headline":65,"publisher":94,"fileFormat":97,"inLanguage":63,"description":67,"dateModified":98,"datePublished":99,"encodingFormat":97,"isAccessibleForFree":100,"interactionStatistic":101},"DigitalDocument",{"url":87,"@type":88,"width":89,"height":90},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/phase-5-completing-an-attendance-register-exam-officer-guidance/642132.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":92,"@type":93},"Himbo","Person",{"url":74,"name":95,"@type":96},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-31","2026-10-23",true,{"@type":102,"interactionType":103,"userInteractionCount":34},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":104},"ViewAction",{"@type":106,"mainEntity":107},"FAQPage",[108,114,118],{"name":109,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":111},"What should I do if a candidate's name is missing from the attendance register?","Question",{"text":112,"@type":113},"You must add the candidate's name to the bottom of the register manually.","Answer",{"name":115,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":116},"How should exam scripts be arranged before returning them?",{"text":117,"@type":113},"Scripts should be arranged in candidate number order with the front copy of the attendance register placed on top.",{"name":119,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":120},"What is the procedure if all candidates for a component are absent?",{"text":121,"@type":113},"You must still complete the attendance register, enclose it in the script packet, attach the required bar-coded label, and return it.","https://schema.org",{"og:url":83,"og:type":124,"og:title":65,"og:site_name":95,"og:description":67},"article",{"robots":126,"canonical":83},"index,follow",{"doc_id":128,"site_id":62},642132,1792855352,{"code":4,"msg":5,"data":131},{"doc_id":128,"user_id":132,"nickname":92,"user_avatar":133,"doc_module":4,"category_id":19,"category_name":20,"doc_title":65,"doc_description":67,"doc_content":134,"file_id":135,"file_url":136,"file_type":137,"file_size":138,"view_count":34,"is_deleted":4,"is_public":8,"is_downloadable":8,"audit_status":8,"page_count":8,"language":139,"language_code":63,"site_id":62,"html_lang":63,"table_of_contents":140,"faqs":141,"seo_title":142,"seo_description":67,"update_tm":143,"read_time":81},687197100911,"https://ap-avatar.wpscdn.com/avatar/a000239b6f1da00475?x-image-process=image/resize,m_fixed,w_180,h_180&k=1785132997149421697","Phase 5: Completing an attendance register \nVideo transcript \nExams officers \nThe attendance register is a formal record of all the candidates registered to take an exam. \nYou will receive your attendance registers in your pre-exam despatch. \nAt the start of the exam, complete and sign the attendance register, to show whether the candidates listed are present or absent. \nIf any candidate names are not on the register, add them to the bottom. If you need a blank copy of a register, use Exam Day – Form 1 which you can download from our website ([www.cambridgeinternational.org/forms](www.cambridgeinternational.org/forms)) . \nAt the end of the exam, check each script against the attendance register, making sure there is a script for every candidate marked as present. \nArrange the scripts in candidate number order with the front copy of the register on top. \nPlace them in the grey script return packet and attach the correct bar-coded label to the front of the packet. Do not include any other documents in your packets. \nKeep the bottom copy of the attendance register. \nIf you have lots of entries for an exam, you can place your scripts in several packets. \nSplit the attendance register into separate pages, so each page matches the scripts in the relevant packet. \nIf all the candidates for a component are absent, you must still complete and enclose the attendance register in the script packet, attach the bar-coded label and return it to us. \nIf any candidates are invigilated separately or taking an exam at an alternative venue, do not submit a separate attendance register for them. Mark them as ‘Present’ on the main attendance register and make a note of the candidates concerned at the bottom of the register. Return their scripts in the same packet as the other candidates taking the exam. \nFor further guidance, see Part 5 of the Cambridge Handbook.","cbCaik2ASCo6synM","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaik2ASCo6synM","pdf",26032,"English","# Completing an Attendance Register\n## Procedures for Exam Officers\n## Handling Scripts and Packets\n## Managing Candidate Variations","[{\"question\":\"What should I do if a candidate's name is missing from the attendance register?\",\"answer\":\"You must add the candidate's name to the bottom of the register manually.\"},{\"question\":\"How should exam scripts be arranged before returning them?\",\"answer\":\"Scripts should be arranged in candidate number order with the front copy of the attendance register placed on top.\"},{\"question\":\"What is the procedure if all candidates for a component are absent?\",\"answer\":\"You must still complete the attendance register, enclose it in the script packet, attach the required bar-coded label, and return it.\"}]","Phase 5 - Completing an Attendance Register - Exam Officer Guidance | PDF",1792721432]
