All non-examined assessment results can be carried forward from a previous series \nprovided the relevant transferred entry option is selected when making the entry. \n2 Entry procedures and key dates \n2.1 Entry procedures \nSupport for entries and registrations can be found here. \n2.2 Private candidates \nPrivate candidates are candidates taking a qualification without being enrolled full time in a centre. \nThey are responsible for their own entries, which must be made through an approved centre. Some \nqualifications are not available to private candidates. For a full list of qualifications and private \ncandidate eligibility see our website. \n2.3 Fees \nInformation about fees can be found here. \n2.4 Entry deadlines and results \nPlease see the Key Dates section of this manual for entry and results dates, and the certification and centre mark submission dates. The Key Dates section also includes details of when EDI basedata and \nEdexcel Online are available for the submission of entries. \n2.5 Retention of certificates \nIt is no longer necessary to return uncollected certificates to us. They may be destroyed (in a \nconfidential manner) after retention for a period of no less than 12 months from the date of issue. \nCentres that do not have a means of destroying certificates confidentially may return them to our \nManchester office. A record of certificates that have been destroyed should be retained for four years from their date of destruction. Centres must comply with any request from us to return a certificate. \nCertificates remain the property of the awarding bodies at all times. \n2.6 Option codes \nRegional paper ('R' papers) \nCustomers whose centres are based in specified countries must use alternative option codes, where applicable, as listed in this manual (for example, 4BI1 R) . Pearson requires the following countries to use the alternative option codes: Australia, Azerbaijan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, \nPhilippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. \nThe January 2023 series was the final January series available for International GCSE. \nThe new November series will not require R papers. Instead, exams in this series will predominantly be \nscheduled in the AM slot (GMT) to ensure that centres can run exams at reasonable local times. \nOnscreen option \nThe following International GCSEs may be sat onscreen: Business, Economics, English Language \nSpecification A, English Literature, Global Citizenship, History, Islamic Studies and Pakistan Studies. \nCentres must request approval to offer the onscreen option. \nModular option \nThe following International GCSEs are available as modular qualifications to international centres \nonly: Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, English Language Specification A, English Literature, Geography, History, Mathematics Specification A, Physics, Religious Studies and Science \nDouble Award. \nPEARSON QUALIFICATIONS INFORMATION MANUAL 2024/25 INTERNATIONAL GCSE – UPDATES IN RED 3 \n3 Exams Officer support \nFurther support and information can be found here. \n4 International GCSE Availability \nA","cbCaibZNeApOcW60","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaibZNeApOcW60","pdf",420252,24,"English","# Introduction\n## Information on retaking International GCSEs\n# Entry procedures and key dates\n## Entry procedures\n## Private candidates\n## Fees\n## Entry deadlines and results\n## Retention of certificates\n## Option codes\n# Exams Officer support\n# International GCSE Availability\n## Subject entry options and availability","[{\"question\":\"What must candidates do to retake an International GCSE?\",\"answer\":\"Candidates must retake all written units of the qualification.
