These tests are designed to be interesting and enjoyable for children. They also aim to make their first experiences of learning English very memorable and motivating. \nThe tests are provided by Pearson Edexcel, the largest UK awarding body for academic and vocational qualifications. Pearson Edexcel is the official awarding body for Pearson English International Certificate-Young Learners. \nThe primary goal of the tests is to assess a young learner’s ability to use English language communicatively. There is an emphasis on real-life scenarios rather than on knowledge of specific language items and vocabulary. \nAlthough the test is presented using British English, any standard variation of English will be accepted. Knowledge of the English alphabet is assumed at all levels. \nWho takes International Cert","cbCaivuprloXLdLr","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivuprloXLdLr","pdf",1738598,28,"English","# Introduction to the guide\n## Who is it for?\n## What is in the guide?\n# Introduction to Pearson English International Certificate-Young Learners\n## Overview\n## Key features\n## Test delivery\n## Test results\n## Test structure\n# Test Preparation Resources\n# Overview of Scoring\n# Overview of Test Format\n# Description of Task Types\n## Written Test\n## Spoken Test\n# Appendix A Language Content\n# Appendix B Vocabulary List","[{\"question\":\"Who is the Pearson English International Certificate - Young Learners guide intended for?\",\"answer\":\"It is designed for anyone preparing students for the test or wanting to learn more about it.
