Then we can see how they are doing.”  \nBarnabas wanted to take John Mark with them. But Paul did not think that was wise because during their first journey Mark had left them and not continued with them in the work.  \nBecause of this sharp disagreement, Paul and Barnabas separated. Barnabas took Mark with him and they sailed for Cyprus. Paul chose Silasand together they went through Syria and Cilicia encouraging all of the churches there.  \nPaul traveled to Lystra where he met a follower of Jesus named Timothy. Timothy’s mother was a Jewish believer, and his father was a Greek. Paul wanted to take Timothy with him on his journey, so he had Timothy circumcised so they would not offend the Jews in those areas.  \nAs they traveled from town to town, they delivered the instructions for the believers to live a pure life as given by the apostles in Jerusalem.
