systematic theology of the Gospel of God, that the righteous will live by faith \nKey Words: Righteousness, Faith, Justification, Law, Grace \nBackground. When Paul wrote Romans about A.D. 56, he had not yet been to Rome, but he had been preaching the gospel since his conversion in A.D. 35. During the previous ten years he had founded churches throughout the Mediterranean world. Now he was nearing the end of his third missionary journey. This epistle is therefore a mature statement of his understanding of the gospel. The church at Rome had been founded by other Christians (unknown to us, but see ―visitors from Rome‖ in Acts 2:10); and Paul, through his travels, knew many of the believers there (16:3–15) . \nOccasion and Date. Paul most likely wrote Romans while he was in Corinth in A.D. \n56, taking a collection to help the needy Christians in Jerusalem (15:25–28, 31; 2 Cor. 8, 9). He planned to go to Jerusalem with this collection, then visit the church in Rome (1:10, 11; 15:22–24). After being refreshed and supported by the Christians in Rome, he planned to travel to Spain to preach the gospel (15:24) . He wrote to tell the Romans of his \nimpending visit. The letter was likely delivered by Phoebe (16:1, 2) . \nPu","cbCaig3sx0WtQAWY","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaig3sx0WtQAWY","pdf",828650,126,"English","# The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Romans\n## Outline of Romans\n## Key Terms of Salvation\n## Key Words and Concepts in Romans\n## Recommended Reading on Romans\n## Lesson 1: Romans 1:1 – 7\n## Lesson 2: Romans 1:8 – 13\n## Lesson 3: Romans 1:14 – 17\n## Lesson 4: Romans 1:18 – 23\n## Lesson 5: Romans 1:24 – 32\n## Lesson 6: Romans 2:1 – 11\n## Lesson 7: Romans 2:11 – 16\n## Lesson 7 Addendum: Importance of Morality and Religion in Government\n## Lesson 8: Romans 2:17 – 29\n## Lesson 9: Romans 3:1 – 8\n## Lesson 10: Romans 3:9 – 20\n## Lesson 11: Romans 3:21 – 25a\n## Lesson 12: Romans 3:25b – 31\n## Lesson 13: Romans 4:1 – 12\n## Lesson 14: Romans 4:13 – 25","[{\"question\":\"Who wrote the Epistle to the Romans and when was it written?\",\"answer\":\"The epistle is authored by Paul and dated to A.D. 56.\"},{\"question\":\"What is the main theme and focus of Romans as described in this material?\",\"answer\":\"The theme is Paul‘s systematic theology of the Gospel of God, emphasizing that the righteous will live by faith.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the outline describe the gospel’s progression from sin to justification and the Christian life?\",\"answer\":\"It moves from “All have sinned,” to justification by faith alone, and then to practicing righteousness in the Christian life through the power of the Spirit and according to the Spirit.\"}]","Paul‘s Letter to the Romans - Lesson Outline | PDF",1790066276,194]
