Scotland's west coast is a chain ofislands collectively knownas the Hebrides.Theyareremote places, distant from the cities of LowlandScotland, their inhabitants differing from the citypeople in language and culture. In 1954 the photo-grapher Paul Strand and his wife Hazel came tothese islands, specifically to the island of South Uistand its neighbours Eriskay and Benbecula.Thisexhibition is a selection the theme ofStrand's work;landscape, common natural andman-made objects, and man himself, heroic bynature, became the subject of his photographs. \nMoreoverwith an interest inthemutual enrichment changes
