Before operating the machine, it’s the operator’s responsibility to read and understand this familiarization guide.  \n􀀵 Each person must be trained to operate a MEWP.  \n􀀵 Familiarization with the MEWP must be given to each person who is authorized, competent and trained.  \n􀀵 Only trained and authorized personnel should be permitted to operate the machine.  \n􀀵 The operator is responsible to read, understand, and obey the manufacturer’s instructions and safety rules provided in the Operator’s Manual.  \n􀀵 The Operator’s Manual is located in the manual storage container, at the platform.  \nPlatform controls symbology and related machine movement:  \nPlatform level  \nPlatform rotate  \nJib boom up/down  \nBoom up/down  \nBoom extend/retract  \nTurntable rotate  \nDrive forward/reverse  \nSteer right/left  \nGround controls symbology and related machine movement:  \nPlatform level,  \njib boom up/down, boom extend/retract, and boom up/down  \nTurntable rotate and platform rotate  \nSequential functions and movement:  \n• Drive and steer. Interlocked functions:  \n• Elevated drive speed.  \n• Elevated drive in an off-level condition.  \n• Drive enable when the boom is rotated past thenon-steer wheels.  \n• All platform and ground controls.  \nLimitations of use:  \n• The intended use of this machine is to lift personnel, including tools, and materials to an aerial work site.  \n• Do not elevate the platform unless the machine is on firm level ground.  \nStability enhancing means:  \n• Foam filled tires (if equipped) .  \nRestricted operating envelope:  \n• 1,000 lbs/454 kg platform capacity.  \nBulletin Distribution and Compliance  \nSafety of product users is of paramount importance to Genie.
