You must keep the copyright and credits for authors, illustrators, etc.  \nIn Mark 12:30, 31 Jesus tells us that the two greatest commandments are, \"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.\"  \nHow we treat one another is very important to God. In the New Testament there are a number of precepts to guide us. In this study we are looking at twelve of them.  \n1. LOVE ONE ANOTHER: Jesus made this clear shortly before the Crucifixion. He said, \"Anew command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.\" (John 13:34, 35 NIV)  \nIt doesn't matter what language a person speaks, what color they are, how much education they have, or what staus they may have, if you are a Christ-follower, you are to love them. What does love look like? 1 Corinthians 13 tells us that love is patient and kind, it does not envy, boast, or act rude towards another person. Love is not proud or self-seeking, and it does not get angry easily. Love always protects, trusts, and perseveres.  \nHow happy our homes and marriages would be if we diligently followed this command to love as Christ loved. What would change in your home?  \nIf I were meeting you for the first time, would I know from your actions that you are a follower of Christ? Why?  \nPick one of the characteristics of love from First Corinthians 13, and ask God to help you make it evident in your life.  \n2. BE AT PEACE WITH ONE ANOTHER:  \nPeace is one of the fruits of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22 . In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, \"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.\" If we are part of God's family, we must be at peace with everyone. Being at peace means there is a lack of conflict. We are in harmony with others. It does not mean we always agree, but we must still remain friendly.  \n3. ACCEPT ONE ANOTHER: Again, it does not matter what a fellow believer's color, education, or status is, we must treat them like a brother or sister. We are more comfortable with those that are just like we are. But we are all created in God's image and are of equal value to Him. All believers in Christ should be welcomed into our homes and fellowship. As we fellowship with those from other cultures and backgrounds, our own lives become richer and more fulfilled.  \n4. BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER. Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:32 \"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.\" (NIV) Some words that come to mind when I think about 'kind' are  \nconciderate, gentle, and thoughtful. Do you enjoy being around kind people?  \nWhat can you do to show more kindness?  \n5. SERVE ONE ANOTHER: When we see someone needing something, the good follower of Christ is quick to offer assistance. 'Care for'is another way of expressing it. Jesus said in Mark 10:45, that he \"did not come to be served, but to serve\" . If Jesus loved us so much that he was willing to serve us, how much more we should be willing to serve each other. And, we should serve without expecting anything in return.  \n6. BE DEVOTED TO ONE ANOTHER: We find this admonition in Romans 12:10 .
