It defines the subclass’ guiding tenets—fun first, pleasing crowds, humility before one’s master, and embracing mayhem—then outlines oath spells and level-based features. Channel Divinity options enable manipulating participation and forcing laughter, while a slapstick aura turns mishaps into escalating comedic failures. They revel in entertaining people, even if that entertainment comes at others expense. They combine physical slapstick with cutting jokes, never letting social mores, decorum, or even good taste get in the way of a performance. They find work in performance troops and circuses, spreading fun to as many people as they can. \nSome paladins ofthe Oath ofFun even become ringleaders, although many find too much purpose in their own performances to manage others’. The Oath ofFun does not specifically call for paladins to deliver pain unto others, but many do so when they find it funny. They adorn their armor – which often also serves as their costumes onstage – with wicked spikes, jagged edges, or motley patterns. \ntenets Of fun \nThe tenets of the Oath of Fun are loosely passed down from Rakdos himself. He does not particularly notice if paladins follow them, but definitely cares when they break them. \nFun. First and foremost, I do what I enjoy and what I find funny. \nEntertainment. I will please the crowds. Whether they want shock, ridicule, or spectacle, I will provide it. \nHumility. Pride is for my master alone. I am but a humble performer, and I will humble those who try to stand above me as well. \nMayhem. What’s life without a little disarray? \nOath spells \nYou gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Fun Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work. \nOath Of fun SPellS Spell Levels Spells \nCHAPTER | SUBCHAPTER 2 \n3rd hellish rebuke, hideous laughter \n5th enthrall, pyrotechnics 9th fear, fireball \n13th confusion, wall of fire 17th immolation, mislead \nChannel Divinity \nWhen you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. \nAudience Participation. You can use your Channel Divinity to goad someone into accosting their neighbor. As an action, you can target a non-hostile creature within 30 feet that you can see and that can hear and understand you. You speak a short suggestion to the creature, no more than one sentence. This suggestion can be a performance, such as juggling or singing a song, which the creature will attempt to the best of their ability. Alternatively, you can suggest that they bother another creature – yell at them, attempt to steal something from them, or even strike them. If you choose this option, they must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failure, they take an action attempting to follow your words. Targets do not realize that they are being magically influenced by this ability, but do understand the words you said to them. \nInvoke Hilarity. You can use your Channel Divinity to inspire laughter around you. As an action, you can force every creature within 5 feet of you that can see or hear you to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they become incapacitated, unable to do anything other than laugh. Creatures with Intelligence 4 or lower are immune to this effect. An afflicted creature can repeat the saving throw at the end ofits turn or whenever it takes damage to end the effect. \naura Of slapstiCk \nStarting at 7th level, you constantly emanate a chaotic aura while you’re not incapacitated, turning a failure into a hilarious failure. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover. When a creature within this aura rolls a natural 1 on an attack roll, you can use your reaction to force them to roll on the Pratfall Table. At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet. \nPratfall d6 Pratfall Effect \n1 The creature falls prone. \n2 The creature must repeat the attack against another creature (other than itself ) of your choice. If they cannot, nothing happens. \n3 The creature stumbles half its speed in a random direction. This counts as voluntary movement. \n4 The creature spontaneously catches fire, taking 1d4 fire damage atthe beginning","cbCaill1wXm14u9c","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaill1wXm14u9c","pdf",1910695,"English","# Tenets of the Oath of Fun\n## Oath spells\n## Channel Divinity\n### Audience Participation\n### Invoke Hilarity\n## Aura of Slapstick\n## Firebug’s Revenge\n## Avatar of Spectacle","[{\"question\":\"What do the tenets of the Oath of Fun emphasize?\",\"answer\":\"They emphasize doing what you enjoy and find funny, pleasing crowds with shock or spectacle, practicing humility where pride belongs to the master, and embracing mayhem and disarray.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Audience Participation work?\",\"answer\":\"As an action, you target a non-hostile creature within 30 feet that can hear you and give a single-sentence suggestion as a performance or to bother another creature, forcing a Charisma saving throw on failure to act on your words.\"},{\"question\":\"What happens when a creature rolls a natural 1 within the Aura of Slapstick?\",\"answer\":\"You can use your reaction to make the creature roll on the Pratfall Table, potentially causing effects like falling prone, forced repeat attacks, stumbling, fire, dropping items, or armor damage.\"}]","OATH OF FUN - Paladin Subclass for D&D 5E - Chapter 3 | PDF",1791266800]
