did not collect information about \"graduates who took the bar exam before graduation\" and \"graduates who took the bar exam after graduation\" as it does currently, so those data fields are not included in this report. \n**Law School pass rate is how the Law School’s graduates performed across all jurisdictions where they took the bar examination for the first time. \n***The ABA weighted average bar pass rate is the average pass rate for graduates from ABA-accredited law schools for each jurisdiction in which the Law School’s graduates sat for the bar exam. This number is weighted so that bar pass rates from jurisdictions where more of the Law School’s graduates sat for the bar exam have a greater impact on the ABA weighted average bar pass rate than bar pass rates from jurisdictions where fewer of the Law School’s graduates sat for the bar exam. \n****The difference between the Law School pass rate and the ABA weighted average bar pass rate compares the performance of the Law School’s graduates on the bar exam in all jurisdictions where they took the bar exam for the first time with the performance of graduates from all ABA-accredited law schools on the bar exam in those same jurisdictions. \n***** Starting with the 2025 Bar Admission Outcome report, graduates pursuing alternative pathways to bar licensure were no longer reported both in the category with graduates who did not take a bar exam and in the category of graduates admitted via alternative pathways. This change is reflected for 2024 graduates in the First-Time Bar Admission table, but does not impact the Total First-Time Bar Admission Rate. \nDetails 2024: \n\n| Jurisdiction | Takers | Passers | Pass % | State Pass % for ABA approved law schools | Difference |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| CALIFORNIA | 27 | 26 | 96.30% | 77.62% | 18.68% |\n| DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA | 23 | 23 | 100.00% | 85.01% | 14.99% |\n| NEW YORK | 421 | 407 | 96.67% | 86.30% | 10.37% |\n| 17 REMAINING JURISDICTIONS | 48 | 46 | 95.83% | 77.28% | 18.55% |\n\nDetails 2023: \n\n| Jurisdiction | Takers | Passers | Pass % | State Pass % for ABA approved law schools | Difference |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| CALIFORNIA | 26 | 24 | 92.31% | 72.33% | 19.98% |\n| DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA | 15 | 15 | 100.00% | 83.41% | 16.59% |\n| NEW YORK | 343 | 333 | 97.08% | 82.96% | 14.12% |\n| 20 REMAINING JURISDICTIONS | 54 | 51 | 94.44% | 75.50% | 18.94% |\n\nDetails 2022: \n\n| Jurisdiction | Takers | Passers | Pass % | State Pass % for ABA approved law schools | Difference |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| CALIFORNIA | 32 | 28 | 87.50% | 72.15% | 15.35% |\n| DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA | 11 | 11 | 100.00% | 79.62% | 20.38% |\n| NEW YORK | 382 | 364 | 95.29% | 82.69% | 12.60% |\n| 19 REMAINING JURISDICTIONS | 46 | 44 | 95.65% | 74.39% | 21.26% |\n\nTwo-Year Ultimate Bar Admission \n\n| Calendar year of gr","cbCaioBxvuZpmcOV","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaioBxvuZpmcOV","pdf",619599,"English","# First-Time Bar Admission\n## Summary by Calendar-Year Graduation\n## Footnotes and Definitions\n## Details 2024 by Jurisdiction\n## Details 2023 by Jurisdiction\n## Details 2022 by Jurisdiction\n# Two-Year Ultimate Bar Admission\n## Summary Table","[{\"question\":\"What additional results are provided beyond the first-time table?\",\"answer\":\"The document includes jurisdiction-level “Details” tables for 2024, 2023, and 2022, and a Two-Year Ultimate Bar Admission section showing ultimate outcomes within two years of graduation, including an ultimate admission rate that includes alternative pathways.\"}]","NYU School of Law - First-Time Bar Admission - 2025 | PDF",1789952256]
