Three credit hours of N5347 will meet eligibility requirements for cer􀆟fica􀆟on as a nurse prac􀆟􀆟oner. Students spend concentrated 􀆟me in the clinical se􀆫ng appropriate to their specialty. Refinement of clinical exper􀆟se and establishment of the role iden􀆟ty as an advanced prac􀆟ce registered nurse is an expected outcome. This course may be taken concurrently with NURS  \n5349. Prerequisites: 5351, 5353, 5455. Current CPR needed.  \nCourse Descrip􀆟on: Provides intensive clinical applica􀆟on of previous didac􀆟c content in the popula􀆟on foci. May take concurrently with NURS 5349.  \nStudent Learning Outcomes:  \nUpon successful comple􀆟on of this course, the student will be able to:  \n1. Ar􀆟culate the role of the nurse prac􀆟􀆟oner in the health care delivery system using  \nevidence based advanced prac􀆟ce approach that contains both an  \nevalua􀆟on/diagnos􀆟c and a plan/management protocol.  \n2. Discuss coding/reimbursement issues related to prac􀆟ce management.  \n3. Iden􀆟fy business concepts and management strategies related to a variety of prac􀆟cal se􀆫ngs to maintain quality and control costs.  \n4. Analyze the influence of economics and fiscal policy on resource management and alloca􀆟on.  \n5. See at least two pa􀆟ents per hour.  \n6. Successfully develop a complete and detailed plan of care on 80% of pa􀆟ents seen.  \n7. Assess, plan, manage, evaluate, and revise the care of individuals and families in primary health care se􀆫ngs, referring clients to other health care providers and/or community resources as appropriate.  \n8.
