heirs to the nation's  \nfuture.  \nCouncil Meeting No.1/2025,chaired by Deputy Prime Minis-ter Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad ZahidHamidi,has agreed to establish aSpecial Committee on IslamicPreschool Education.  \nZahid said the government hasallocated RM1.2 million to sup-port programmes for identity de-velopment,parenting advocacyand comprehensive spiritual re-habilitation for the children.  \nZahid,in a statement,said thecommittee aims to coordinateregistration,curriculum develop-ment and teacher welfare atPusat Asuhan Tunas Islam(Pasti)to ensure the delivery of quality,safe and structured preschooled-ucation.  \nHe said the meeting alsotouched on the need to establisha long-term care system for se-nior citizens,in line with Pillar 5of the National Ageing ActionFramework.  \n\"The meeting resolved thatdrastic steps must be taken to re-duce dependence ongovernmentfinancial resources through therestructuring of a more sustain-able socialsupport system.\"  \n\"Today's(yesterday)meetingaddressed critical national socialissues,including the coordina-tion of Islamic preschool educa-tion institutions and comprehen-sive protection for vulnerablechildren,\"he said.  \nZahid said it was estimated that15 per cent of Malaysians will beaged 60 and above by 2030,withthe majority lacking insurancecoverage.  \nIt also discussed strategiesto resolve
