Marini \nSTAFF WRITER \nPlenty of Spurs fans are moaning on social media about the high cost oftickets to the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks. \nAccording to Ticketmaster, the “official ticket marketplace of the NBA,”as of Wednesday afternoon, the cheapest seat for Game 2 at the Frost Bank Center on Friday night was$1,014, and that was up in the corner nosebleeds. \nThink that’s a lot? Pity the poor Knicks fan. While the Ticketmaster website didn’t yet have prices posted (“on sale date and time are in the works — please check back!” the website read earlier this week), secondary markets have no such compunction. \nAccording to Seat Geek, the cheapest ticket available at Madison Square Garden for Game 3 on Monday was selling for $4,898. That’s $3,884 more \nSam Owens/San Antonio Express-News \nNew York Knicks fans arrive at Frost Bank Center before Game 1of the NBA Finals on Wednesday. The Knicks won to take a 1-0 series lead. \nthan what you’d pay at the Frost Bank Center and still a threat to one’s nasal passages. \n(As with most prices quoted in this article, these are subject to change, and justbecause a ticket holder \nputs tickets on the secondary market doesn’t mean there’s someone willing to pay the price.) \nJust for giggles, we also looked at “splash zone” —seats so close to the action you could be sprayed with flying perspiration — and once again the difference in prices between New York and San Antonio is breathtaking. \nYou can sit in the front row here, elbow to elbow with Luke Kornet or Keldon Johnson, for $61,500, while in New York you would pay$101,200 to look at the back of Timothée Chalamet’s head. \nAll these numbers led us to an interesting thought experiment: Would it, could it, be cheaper for a New Yorker to fly to San Antonio and buy an equivalent ticket toa game than to take the Seventh Avenue subway and pay the full freight fora seat in “The World’s Most Famous Arena”? \nThe answer, assuming you don’t travel like a Saudi Arabian king, is a resounding yes. \nAccording to Travelocity, the cheapest round trip \nseat between New York and San Antonio, leaving Thursday and returning today, was $455 on United Airlines. \nThat means the total cost of ticket and airfare was about $1,469, or$3,429 less than that single Knicks ticket. \nEven better, fans could have flown first class from there to here for as little as $1,200, putting the total spent at $2,214, or $2,684 less than an MSG ticket. \nOf course, they still would have had to pay for food and lodging, but have we told you how much cheaper hotels and restaurants are in San Antonio than in New York? \nOh, and a couple more things, Knick fans. According to the Ticketmaster website, rival team gear isn’t allowed in courtside seats and ticket sales are restricted to customers residing within 150 miles of the Frost Bank Center. \nSo add to the total cost my small fee for buying those tickets for you. \nS.A. archbishop makes friendlybet on Spurs victory \nBy Melissa Renteria \nSTAFF WRITER \nArchbishop Gustavo García-Siller soon could be enjoying a box of New York bagels if the San Antonio Spurs win their sixth NBA championship this month. \nIf the New York Knicks capture the NBA title, the archbishop will send Archbishop Ronald Hicks of New York a basket of Texas-inspired foodie favorites from H-E-B. The archbishops announced the friendly wager Wednesday, hours before the Spurs and Knicks faced off in Game 1 of the NBA Finals at Frost Bank Center. The Spurs lost 105-95 in the first game of \nSam Owens/San Antonio Express-News \nSan Antonio Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller ha","cbCairRaTrbZqGJU","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCairRaTrbZqGJU","pdf",1300829,"English","# Meeting Details\n## Purpose: Budget and Proposed Tax Rate","[{\"question\":\"When and where will the public meeting be held?\",\"answer\":\"The meeting will take place at 5:30 PM on June 18, 2026, at the Middleton Education Center.\"},{\"question\":\"What topics will be discussed at the meeting?\",\"answer\":\"The meeting will focus on the district’s budget and the proposed tax rate.\"},{\"question\":\"Who is hosting the public meeting?\",\"answer\":\"The public meeting is hosted by North East Independent School District.\"}]","Notice of Public Meeting 2026-2027 - Budget and Proposed Tax Rate | PDF"]
