apackage?'  \nShe shouted back,'No.'She appeared,wiping herhands on a cloth.Is it for us?'We weren't the sort ofpeople to get packages,she said.Probably for next door.Not the Franklins,they were away.She said she was busy.  \nThe package wasn't heavy.The Murdoch's car was intheir drive.I took the package and rang the bell.Noanswer.I left the package on their step and went to startthe gardening.  \nAfter a while Murdoch appeared and called out,Didyou leave this here?'  \nIt's not for us,'I said.'What is it?\"'No idea.'  \nMurdoch went back inside.I stuck the spade in thesoil,rang their doorbell again.Murdoch came to the door.  \nI nodded at the package.'Aren't you going to openit?'  \n'Nope...'And he shut the door.  \nI needed to get on with the garden.It wasn't the righttime
