Request that test takers cover up their ID number and address with their hand and/or a piece of paper to maintain privacy, or check IDs one-on-one if test takers don’t want their full names known by others. \n○ To maintain data privacy do not record remote proctoring sessions. \nSetting Up Remote Testing \nTip: You can view videos on how to set up proctoring sessions here \nAfter verifying test taker identity, follow these steps to set up remote testing: \nOn the proctor’s computer: \n1. Log into the Admin Portal by clicking the Log In button on our homepage. \n2. Copy the URL for your location’s testing launch page. You can fi nd it on the main page for the admin portal under Your Info. \n3. Send the URL for your testing launch page to the test-takers via email or chat. \n4. Log into the Admin Portal. Then, click on the Assessments tab. \n5. Click Start New Proctor Session. \nSetting Up Remote Testing (continued) \nOn the test taker’s computer: \n6. Test takers either: \n❏ Log into their Northstar Online Learning Accounts or ❏ Enter their fi rst and last names and click Continue. \n7. Click Join Proctor Mode. \n8. The screen will now read Waiting for Proctor Response. \nO","cbCaivLVXmo0Jqyc","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivLVXmo0Jqyc","pdf",357579,"English","# Technical Requirements for Remote Proctoring\n# Before Remote Testing\n# Setting Up Remote Testing\n## On the proctor’s computer\n## On the test taker’s computer\n# Supporting Test Takers During Testing\n# Ending Proctor Mode\n# After Remote Testing\n# Northstar Codes of Conduct","[{\"question\":\"What technical capabilities must the remote proctoring platform provide?\",\"answer\":\"The platform should support webcam monitoring for all test takers, provide chat/direct messaging, and allow muting microphones when multiple tests occur simultaneously.\"},{\"question\":\"What should test takers do before starting the assessment?\",\"answer\":\"Test takers must put away notes and electronic devices (except what is needed for the assessment), be in a quiet room alone, and present a current identification with name and photo for visual identity confirmation.\"},{\"question\":\"How does a proctor start and end a remote proctoring session?\",\"answer\":\"After identity verification, the proctor starts a new proctor session in the Admin Portal and launches proctoring next to a test taker’s name.
