The focus of this preview is an overview of the Province of Vasa and highlighting terrain and locales around the Kubar Steppes. \nVasa \nThree centuries ago, the Vikings of Norland began expanding outward, sailing their longships throughout the Majestic Fantasy Realms to explore, trade, raid, and ultimately colonize. One wave of exploration reached the western shores of the Grey Sea over three centuries ago, where the Vikings, drawn by the region’s abundant furs, established permanent outposts and settlements. In 748 AU, they proclaimed the Kingdom of Vasa. \nThe kingdom’s borders ran from the Greenelm Woods in the north to the Hellerands in the south, then westward along the foothills of the Westwall. The first kings of Vasa built Castle Skara at the foot of the Odjurstig, a major pass across the Westwall into the Southlands. For several decades, these kings led the Vasan Vikings in campaigns against ogres and trolls raiding down from the Westwalls, occasionally launching Viking raids across thesea. Particularly against the Grand Kingdom, which was expanding along the southern coast of the Grey Sea. \nWhen the Grand Kingdom established Northport in 810 AU, the two rivals briefly became allies against the forces of the Gnoll King. But after the gnolls were defeated, the Viking raids resumed, and the Dukes of Northport vowed to end the Viking menace once and for all. Their conflict lasted for more than six decades, concluding with the Siege of Castle Skara, which led to the conquest of Vasa. The remaining Vasan nobles fled into exile, and the old Viking kingdom was declared a royal province of the Grand Kingdom. \nThe Greenelm Woods forms Vasa’s northern border. Its rich stands of old-growth trees have become a boon for Grand Kingdom timberwrights, although the Great Druid of Greenelm has rallied treants, dryads, and other woodland denizens to resist them. The king’s rangers were sent to protect the workers, sparking an ongoing, small-scale war. \nThe port of Visby, located jus","cbCaibUiQwFldMpH","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaibUiQwFldMpH","pdf",8924640,15,"English","# Northern Marches Preview #4\n## Province of Vasa\n## Cultures of the Northern Marches\n### Hundmeran","[{\"question\":\"What does Northern Marches Preview #4 focus on?\",\"answer\":\"It focuses on an overview of the Province of Vasa, highlighting terrain and locales around the Kubar Steppes.\"},{\"question\":\"How did the Kingdom of Vasa originate according to the preview?\",\"answer\":\"Norland Vikings expanded into the Majestic Fantasy Realms, established permanent outposts on the Grey Sea’s western shores, and in 748 AU proclaimed the Kingdom of Vasa.\"},{\"question\":\"What major conflict is described around Castle Skara?\",\"answer\":\"The rivalry between Vasa and the Grand Kingdom culminates in the Siege of Castle Skara, leading to the conquest of Vasa and its declaration as a royal province of the Grand Kingdom.\"}]","Northern Marches Preview - Northern Marches Preview #4 | PDF",1791278966,23]
